Welcome to Trainers Quotes!
30th December 2024

WOW – WHAT A START TO 2018!!

So, that’s January done-and-dusted!

Whether it’s been a long month for you or not the general feeling surrounding the first month of the year is ……………………….”I can’t wait till it’s over!”

Yes, we feel the same here at Trainers-Quotes - but only because it means we are now only 5 weeks away from the Cheltenham Festival – and not for any other reason.

In fact, if the current form of our 20 trainers is anything to go by then – WE ACTUALLY DON’T WANT JANUARY TO END.

It’s been another superb month here at TQ with winners galore flying-in and members have never been happier!

There have been so many top stories to mention them all – including a Jamie Snowden doubles, a Gary Moore Plumpton treble, Scott Dixon’s old-timer

Sir Geoffrey winning for the 21st time, plus an array of top TQ VIEW (the day’s best quote) going in…………………..like this one from Henry Oliver.

Yorgunnahearmeroar – Largely disappointing, but work at home is a lot better than how’s he’s running on the track. A good solid run last time, just went off too quick on his runs before that. I think he is good each-way value on a track we know he likes. He could be a horse to watch when the penny drops!” 1st 8/1 Henry Oliver

Not forgetting 5* QUOTE from Scott too:

EBITDA - She had a cracking year, winning 4 and progressing all the time. I feel she is more effective on a flat track, but has won over course and distance this year. This looks fairly weak. She worked the best she has ever worked recently and I feel she has more to come. Strong chance. Scott Dixon 1st 4/1 (5*)

So – to celebrate what’s been a cracking start to the new year - how does a ‘A FREE MONTH’ to the popular TRAINERS-QUOTES.com service sound?

“I have just got to say buying trainer quotes is the best thing I ever did. The winners just keep on coming Prince of Steal 16/1 has just rounded off another fantastic day. I have been with a lot of tipsters but this information is first class. High priced forecasts and high-priced winners. Highly recommended.” Tony W

TQ VIEW BONUS – Don’t forget all members receive the TQ team’s daily best quote and with over 5 years’ experience of speaking to our 20 yards then we are best-placed to pass this info on too!

Grab your direct line through to the UK’s TOP Trainers – EVERY time they have a horse running…?

Be a fly-on-the-wall at the UK’s TOP yards…?

Peek behind the stable door to see how the horses are REALLY performing at home… And what the Trainers REALLY think about their chances…?

Don’t forget – it’s also not always about the winners as a lot of our trainers have big-priced each-way calls too. Bridge of Sighs (3rd 16/1), Mutineer (2nd 33/1) & Oud Metha Bridge (2nd 33/1) were more examples of this during the month for the Lee Carter, Julia Feilden and Daniel Kubler camps
“Oud Metha Bridge – Is a lovely horse that we bought in October. His work at home is very good and the wide draw (12) will suit his style of running. He has a good each-way chance at a very good price. Shelley rides and claims 3lbs.” 2nd 33/1 Julia Feilden

Also, a lot of our members use the TRAINERS-QUOTES info to lay horses as well as back them – there are plenty of angles these days with the betting exchanges!! Or even back other horses in certain races with the trainers also taking about other horses in races they’ve heard good words about!

Here’s just a sample of winning quotes………………………

“Argyle – Big weight (12-2) in a competitive race but shows fair ability, track & trip suits and could have a reasonable chance today with William’s 10lb claim helping on the weight front.” 1st 7/1 Henry Oliver“Leo Luna – Finished fourth here last time out over 3½m. Has his fair share of weight (12-2) but the drop in grade should give him reasonable chances – hoping for a solid run.” 1st 9/4 Gary Moore

“Sparkling River – Very trappy little race but we head here with a decent chance. River is in good heart and acts well on the ground. Slight step up in trip should suit and this is expected to be a bit easier than her last outing at Cheltenham – has a live chance off a 4lb higher mark.” 1st 7/2 Henry Oliver

“Sparkalot – Smart colt who returned here a few weeks ago after a small setback, has good form at this track and trip and one to keep on the right side of. Drawn wide (10) yet again but not easily discounted if he gets a good passage and will be finishing strongly.” 1st 9/2 Simon Dow

“Oud Metha Bridge – Is a lovely horse that we bought in October. His work at home is very good and the wide draw (12) will suit his style of running. He has a good each-way chance at a very good price. Shelley rides and claims 3lbs.” 2nd 33/1 Julia Feilden

“Mister Chow – Tough race but hopefully he will improve for his run at Sandown when second – if so they every chance. Trip and ground are fine so hopeful he’ll not be far away. “

“Something Lucky – New hold-up tactics have worked the trick with him and he heads here having won his last two. Up another 4lbs here and up in grade, but a fast-improving sprinter and hopeful he can run well again. More needed with4 other proven CD winners in the field, but still looks one of my better chances on the day.” 1st 11/4 Mick Appleby

“Majestic Moon – Has taken well to the fibresand this winter – being competitive with each run. This does look a tricky handicap, with a few with chances and it doesn’t help going up 3lbs for his 2nd place last time. He seems well at home though and hopefully has an e/w chance again at a good price.” 1st 8/1 Julia Feilden

“Deebaj – Disappointing horse so far. Hopefully he will run a bit better in this lower grade and if so, should have an e/w chance. Adam Kirby rides. “ 1st 7/2 Gary Moore

“Bridge Of Sighs – Ran a blinder last time and only got pipped on in the closing stages. Up 4lbs for that but remains in cracking form. Oision continues in the saddle – only negative being draw 13 so might need a fair bit of luck from there, but I will leave the riding up to Oisin. On a plus, for us the 2nd favourite is drawn high too. If better drawn then would have been more confident and might be a big ask from there – but the horse is well so you never know.” 3rd 16/1 Lee Carter

“Mutineer has lost his way on his last couple of starts and gets blinkers on today to focus him back on the job in-hand. If they see him back to near his best then should go well.” 2nd 33/1 Daniel Kubler

“Corazon Espinado – Been progressing this winter and wide draw last week here cost him his racing position though still not beaten far. Better chance in this now from stall 4 in a slightly weaker event. Should not be far away.” 1st 9/2 Simon Dow

“Bobby Biscuit – Encouraging debut (4th of 10) and been wintering well. Should be suited by conditions and the form of his debut has worked out. Held in high regard and likely to go close if fit enough on his return.” 1st 2/1 Simon Dow

“Bassarabad – Returns after a few months off, but has also had a wind op in that time. Sports the tongue tie today too and seems well for his op. Doesn’t mind soft or heavy ground, while this 3m trip is ideal. Is also back down to his last winning mark so much have a fair chance and has gone well off a break in the past.” 1st 5/1 Tim Vaughan

“Got Away – She was a bit deliberate early on at Newbury on her first outing and she was just warming up when making a silly mistake and falling, she didn’t get high enough and the fences at Newbury are pretty unforgiving. She was a little bit stiff for a few days afterwards but nothing a nice bit of massaging couldn’t rectify. Got Away loves soft ground and she jumps well at home, she tends to give her fences plenty of daylight on the schooling ground which is why I was surprised by her sloppy mistake at Newbury. Looks like we’ll be heading here as the outsider, but another race with just 3 runners in but if her jumping holds up then getting the weight we’d have a squeak.” 1st 4/1 Oliver Sherwood

“Tha’ir – Our final runner on the day and if pushed probably my best chance. Very well-handicapped on old form when with Godolphin as now rated 76 and was once as high as 108. Didn’t seem to handle the fibresand last time so we can put a line through that, but was a close 6th the time before. Leaving the tongue-tie off today too (was on last time for the first time). Dropped into a Class 5 for the first time too and has run well at the track in the past for us. Expecting a lot better here today and should not be far away.” 1st 9/4 Mick Appleby
