Today's TQ View

TQ VIEW BEST BET: 2.40 Haydock: MILLDAM - If only all horses were so uncomplicated. Jamie Snowden's Milldam wants testing ground, two miles and a flat track, all three conditions catering for him today. Big chance.

TQ VIEW EACH-WAY: 1.38 Hereford: JESSIE LIGHTFOOT (E.W.)  Even around Hereford, 3m1f and a field of 13 mares will make it a proper stamina test. Henry Oliver's Jessie Lightfoot has a staying-on 3rd in a better race at Cheltenham two runs ago as evidence that she should not be too far away in this.

Gary Moore
Kotmask
Sat 21st Dec 2024
13:15, Ascot
DEC Odds: 3.05 (Betfair Exc)

Kotmask was 3rd and then 2nd in successive races around here last month, when possibly the first effort was slightly the better. In-form and consistent, he should be bang there at the finish.
Black Gerry
Sat 21st Dec 2024
13:15, Ascot
DEC Odds: 23 (Betfair Exc)

Two in this and Black Gerry returns after eight months off and in first-time cheek-pieces. His mark dropped 10lb over the course of last season and the previous Ascot winner could be a dangerous outsider.
Henry Oliver
Jessie Lightfoot
Sat 21st Dec 2024
13:38, Hereford
DEC Odds: 34 (Betfair Exc)

Jessie Lightfoot invariably starts from the bottom in races at this level but often outruns her odds as when a good 3rd as a 33/1 shot at Cheltenham in late October. She stays all day and as usual will be a value each-way price. Hopeful.
Botox Has
Sat 21st Dec 2024
14:25, Ascot
DEC Odds: 36 (Betfair Exc)

Botox Has could have done with softer gound. He ran well in this last year and has come on for his reappearance at Cheltenham. He would be an each-way chance at a big price if it rained heavily.
Jamie Snowden
Milldam
Sat 21st Dec 2024
14:40, Haydock
DEC Odds: 5.1 (Betfair Exc)

Milldam has progressed year on year since coming over from France and came to himself last season winning three deep-ground handicaps over 2m. He needed his comeback run two weeks ago and providing we're not bringing him back too soon after that, he looks to have a great chance here. He gets his beloved heavy ground and 2m on a nice flat track.
Dylan Cunha
Magna Gee Gee
Sat 21st Dec 2024
16:40, Wolverhampton
DEC Odds: 12 (Betfair Exc)

Magna Gee Gee ran his best race of three last time out when he was still in with a chance until tiring late into 4th. Has been allowed plenty compared with the trio that beat him and if he improves by a similar amount here, he should have a good each-way shout.
Julia Feilden
Grand Duchess Olga
Sat 21st Dec 2024
18:15, Wolverhampton
DEC Odds: 8.2 (Betfair Exc)

Grand Duchess Olga seems in great form at home at home and had excuses on both of her two latest runs. This looks the right race for her and with Dylan back on board we think she only has the favourite to beat. Just a note about Leon Trotsky, our horse that finished a 25/1 close 3rd on Thursday. He's by a sire, Michigan (rated 65)  that never won in six starts and was tailed off in a seller. His dam ran once and was tailed off at 50/1 - also in a seller. And they say breeding always tells!

Dark Mystery
Sat 21st Dec 2024
18:15, Wolverhampton
DEC Odds: 4.6 (Betfair Exc)

Dark Mystery is in good form and stays this trip well. I'm not sure Wolves is his course but he sets a decent standard on form and should be thereabouts.
