His last run at Taunton in January was better than it reads, he just didn't get home over three miles and once he was beaten Leighton was not hard on him. His pedigree suggested he would get three miles, he has tried the trip twice now and with hindsight he probably didn't get home at the first attempt either but as he made the running that day I wondered if he'd done a bit too much in front. We held him up at Taunton and he travelled into the race nicely before not seeing the trip out. So back in trip here today is a plus and seems well after 3 months off. Could be an above average race though with Nicholls and Henderson having lesser exposed runners so really just hoping for a solid run back. Toviere is a good looking son of Presenting, he works nicely and has always jumped well both at home and on a racecourse. "
