Torneo was a useful performer on the flat in France, winning a maiden at Pau over 1m2f and then finishing 2nd in three consecutive races at 1m4f. He looks the type that could develop into a smart hurdler and ran well when 2nd on stable and hurdles debut. He followed that with a good 3rd in a classy juveniles race at Kempton over Christmas. This looks a much weaker race and he should have every chance of getting his head in front.
