Tallow For Coal is brother to two black-type winners from a good female family which features Denman. Tallow For Coal won a maiden Irish point-to-point and was placed in all three novice hurdles. However, he was always going to be a better chaser and won two novice handicaps and placed another three times. He has done well for the summer and he is still a young horse with more improvement in him. He is fit and well and this looks a suitable race in which to start him outside novice company. This is competitive but he should run well.
