Promising effort from Oliver's horse. Original quote: "
Rhebus was disappointing on his hurdles debut at Kempton last month but I blame myself. After his final start on the flat for Ralph Beckett; which he won, I organised for him to go straight to Henrietta Knight for ten days of intensive schooling. He then arrived back with me and I only gave him a couple of bits of work before running him, with hindsight that was a mistake. I’ve subsequently realised that he takes a lot of work so although he was fit from the flat it takes a different fitness level over jumps, plus he’d had ten days of jumping which probably didn’t tax him too much. Rhebus has done plenty of work and schooling since that race, his jumping was ok at Kempton but it needs to be slicker, that will come. Rhebus is pretty laid back at home and he never stops eating, hence why he takes his work so well, he’s easy to deal with but a bit cheeky in his stable. Each-way
