Novus did well to win a Newbury juvenile maiden at the third time of asking and started handicapping this year on 82. She never got involved after a slow start on her comeback at Newmarket but off the same mark today, can strip fitter and has an each-way chance.

6th May 2023 -RESULT 1st 71 – Vadream – Charlie Fellowes Newmarket
Vadream is in cracking form but has to have cut in the ground. We had plenty of rain last night so it will be interesting to see the official going description this morning. If it's good to soft or softer she will go there with a huge chance over a trip I'm excited to try.

6th May 2023 – 1st 10/11 – Mark of Gold – Gary Moore Goodwood
Mark Of Gold has not run on the flat for almost two years but is fit from hurdling and won two runs back at Kempton. There is a massive disparity between his respective handicap marks and he is potentially thrown in here if he remembers what to do without seeing an obstacle!

5th May 2023 – RESULT 2nd 5/1 – Fix At All – Michael Scudamore Cheltenham
Fix At All has done nothing wrong since switching to hunter-chasing. This does look a deeper race but he comes here in good heart. Conditions should be fine but with the concern that he's going left-handed and tends to go slightly right. Having won his last two he deserves to have a go at this.

5th May 2023 – RESULT 1st 5/2 – Dream Composer – James Evans Goodwood
Dream Composer won well at Newmarket last time and seems in good form but this is a much deeper race today. It will need another personal best for him to take it.

5th May 2023 – RESULT 1st 4/1 – Crescent Lake – Gary Moore Goodwood
All Crescent Lake's best form is on AW and he certainly impressed with an easy win over today's trip at Chelmsford two runs back. He followed up by showing that 2f less at Lingfield probably wasn't ideal and it will be interesting to see what he makes of Goodwood. If he copes with turf he…

03/05 23 – RESULT 3rd 16/1 – Helm Rock – Daniel & Claire Kubler Ascot
Helm Roick takes a drop in class after getting found out a bit in the Lincoln. That run under his belt should stand him in good stead in a race where a very unexposed favourite takes on a field of evenly-matched seasoned handicappers. Will Carver takes the ride and is a solid rider who landed…

3rd May 2023 – RESULT 1st 15/2 – Holy Fire – Charlie Fellowes Kempton Park
Holy Fire made an encouraging debut at Chelmsford and was given the winter off after that as she's a big filly and had done plenty. She is ready for this return to the races and conditions should suit her perfectly. She can take a step forward and go close.

3rd May 2023 – RESULT 1st 10/11 – Big Bard – Gary Moore Brighton
Twice a winner as a 3yo, Big Bard had been unlucky not to win a couple more until coming good emphatically at Windsor last week. The 5lb penalty for that sprint success hardly looks enough - he's up 7lb in the new ratings - to prevent a follow-up, and he's still bottom-weight.

01/05’23 – RESULT 1st 5/2 – Larrsen – Gary Moore Bath
Larrsen was highly tried when running in novice and maiden races last year. Now handicapped and on what could be a nice mark, we think he might be ready to make more of an impact.

29th Apr 2023 – RESULT 2nd 3/1 – Goshen – Gary Moore Sandown
We have to accept that the Goshen who goes left-handed is a pale imitation of the high-class performer we always see on right-hand tracks. Back in his comfort zone today and over a trip that should be ideal we have to hope he can show us once more what he can do - which is…

29th Apr 2023 – RESULT 1st 9/4 – Silastar – Gary Moore Leicester
Silastar has been running okay over 1m4f the last twice, but as a winner over a mile last year, he should be happy enough at 1m2f. Ryan is a welcome partner for him and hopefully they will click first time together.

27th Apr 2023 – RESULT 2nd 5/1 – Maclaine – Oliver Sherwood Warwick
Maclaine ran a cracker at Exeter last time out on his first run after a wind-op and he really ran to the line, which will have given him confidence. A huge horse who is still a bit on the weak side, I wanted to give him one more run before he goes off for his…

26th Apr 2023 – RESULT 2nd 14/1 – Tawalla – Charlie Fellowes Catterick
Tawalla ran okay on last year's debut and seems to have done well from two to three. His work this year has been better and I am expecting to see a nice step forward. Five furlongs on soft ground will suit him well.

26th Apr 2023 – RESULT 1st 11/8 – Sausalito – Gary Moore Lingfield
Sausalito was most unlucky not to add to his great string of results when a close 2nd on Lingfield All-Weather Vase day, Pestered after taking an early lead and headed, he battled back strongly after 1m4f but was just denied. His mark had gone up from 48 to 67 in 50 days after five wins…

24th Apr 2023 – 2nd 7/1 – Copper Coin – Michael Scudamore Kempton Park
Copper Coin often runs well fresh and good ground will be ideal while the drop to 2m5f shouldn't hold too many worries. Flat tracks seem to suit him best and none is flatter than Kempton, so he should be fine! He isn't getting any younger and a mark of 130 may be high enough, but…

24th Apr 2023 – RESULT 1st 8/13 – Espoir De Teillee – B. F. Brookhouse Kempton Park

24th Apr 2023 – RESULT 1st 5/1 – Big Bard – Gary Moore Windsor
Bg Bard has been running through the winter and was placed in a couple of his five races, the best effort coming behind prolific winner Lilkian over 6f at Lingfield last month. His mark has eased of late and in a wide-open race he should be competitive although he's not really proven on soft ground.
