We expected a big run on debut for Battleofbaltimore at Brighton but he was too free and didn't quite get home. He will know more about it today and if he runs the way he has been working he will be hard to beat.

 Dirham Emirati ran his best race for ages at Kempton last time, showing up nicely going to the closing stages before fading late on. Continued improvement and the drop back from 2m to 1m5f could put him right in this argument, returning to turf.

Dynakite loves Kempton and Paddy takes a helpful 3lb off. Oisin couldn't stretch his stamina out to 1m4f last time, but back over his favourite mile, he has to hold each-way chances.

Bungle Bay is a course and distance winner. He seems to be going the right way, finishing in the money the last twice and he should be thereabouts this afternoon.

Per Contra is a nice colt by Footstepsinthesand. He's done some decent work but you always have to be prepared for the effect of inexperience first time out. It's a restricted maiden, but there are a couple with respectable form, so he'll need to run well to beat them.

I Still Have Faith is in good form and seems none the worse for his unlucky run at Leicester. There are fewer runners in today's race and hopefully, a clearer passage could bring a straightforward win judged on that last run.

Since last running on the level, He's A Latchico has won two handicap hurdles in good style. While his flat rating is still closer to the hurdles mark than is normally the case, he is improving and could well run into the money at a decent price.

Dream Composer found the ground a bit too lively at Royal Ascot but conditions should be perfect today when the stiff finish will suit him. It's a small field but highly competitive and you can make a case for all of them. He will need a personal best to win but should be thereabouts.

Corporate Raider improved to win over the CD last time fitted with blinkers and making the running. It's different ground here today but it shouldn't be a problem. He has been in good form at home since that win, so we're hoping he will be thereabouts again.

Daphne May has been kept busy this year over various distances. Yet to prove she stays 1m4f, she wasn't beaten far after running prominently the last time she tried the distance. She's a value each-way bet if she does.

Although still a maiden after 20 runs, Reckon I'm Hot isn't a hopeless case and he got into a photo in a big field at Bath two runs back. The Windsor run that followed was less convincing but he went hard that day, fading away. From the inside draw here, he could be a contender…

Heer's Sadie won over this CD three weeks ago. she will be ridden today by the same successful apprentice and with similar conditions and grade, she is still well handicapped even up 4lb at 50. Hopefully, she has gained some confidence from the win and should have an each-way chance at least.

Tan Rapido has been working well at home but my 2yos have hardly set the world alight this year so I am going there more in hope than expectation. He is extremely straightforward and the stiff 5f should suit him well.

Magic Memories made a fair start around here finishing a close-up 4th of 6, but did not improve on that at Kempton. Back on turf, he looks up against it meeting rivals from major stables with better form in the book already.

Cardano has come out of of his comeback run at York in good form and should show more today. He could go close if he recaptures a bit of his old ability, which on his home form is still there.

Cruise has decent form on all-weather and has won over 6f, but she has plenty of speed and this stiff 5f should be made for her. We still think she is well enough handicapped and go all the way up there with a degree of confidence.

I Still Have Faith ran well when runner-up at Haydock where he was possibly a little unlucky not to win. Leicester will suit him and he's in cracking form. Hopeful.

Lovely Darling lives up to her name as she is a lovely filly. She will improve for the experience and while I think 7f is her distance, her weight allowance and the uphill finish will give her a better chance. We will learn a lot about her here.

Shuwari is a nice filly by New Bay making her debut. Although only five runners, there's a winner and two others that have been placed on their single runs. Shuwari has done some nice work and it will be good to get a guide on where she sits against these in a race that will…
