Hudson De Grugy won the novices' handicap chase contested today by Kotmask and Invincible Nao a year ago. He runs from the same mark, but for one-third the money! We also run Invincible Nao, who was an easy winner last time around the quirky Fakenham track, but he had it all his own way there. I'm not sure if he is up to the class and having gone up 8lb for that, this race won't be easy.

Siempre Arturo enters handicap company having won a maiden and then just getting touched off under a penalty. He probably has the ability to be effective off this mark but lacks race craft up against some more battle-hardened types.

I'm not sure there's too much improvement in Dandy Sands and they seem to have his handicap mark just about right. The one thing in his favour tonight is that he's a small handy horse who might enjoy the tight, turning track.

Rey De La Batalla broke his maiden in a driving finish at Lingfield last start and the mile round here might suit him even better. He seems in good shape and only a small rise in the handicap makes him competitive still.

All Authorized didn't get a run last time at Sandown finishing 4th of 5 but not far back. It's amazing how often coming up that hill, there's trouble from horses running around. This level track poses fewer problems of that nature and he should run well.

Our other runner Desfondado has been off for some time and this looks tough for a reappearance. We have always held him in some regard and are sure he will find winning opportunities as time goes on. With Hollie booked and a good draw, there are plenty of positives.

We like Suspicion. He made a very promising debut over this CD  behind a Charlie Appleby Dubawi colt who easily followed up at Wolverhampton. I'm not delighted with the draw but he has the experience to overcome it. Very hopeful.

Up For Parol won a couple of novice hurdles and then a decent handicap at Haydock two years ago. He has some good handicap form to his name but has gone winless throughout the intervening time. Down in class here, albeit with top-weight, he should run a big race today.

Andaleep won well over 11 furlongs at the track a couple of starts back. The 12 furlongs probably out-stretches him, but it's a good prize for the grade so well worth a crack.

Mark Of Gold last ran in the Lanzarote Hurdle here six weeks ago and was a 33/1 shot. His jumping let him down even before he fell four out and it will need to be much slicker if he is to figure in this big field over the same CD.

Ragosina tried her hand for black type after a pleasing start over hurdles. She wasn't right at Newbury but put in a much better effort at Doncaster even though getting outpaced and clouting the 2nd last. She's stepping up in trip and her big weight allowance gives her a great chance if the favourite falters.

Liberated Lad is more of a turf horse as most of mine are but has been unlucky the last three times on AW. This is the best chance he's had to get his head in front for a while and he seems in great form at home.

Cephalus won nicely at Lingfield in December but has been narrowly beaten twice since when favourite. His mark is significantly higher now but if he gets the run of the race he ought to collect in this company.
