Spanish Mane usually needs a couple of runs to reach fitness again. and she looked like returning to form on her last run. She is now well handicapped and in good shape at home so hopefully, she has an each-way chance.

Scylla is ready to rock and roll and should be suited by conditions today. We rode her aggressively last time which I don't think suited so will be more patient today. She's in good form and can go well.

Simmering may have been beaten both times but she has run two lovely races and I very much fancy her to win today. She's the favourite and I think it will take a bit step forward by one of the maiden winners to beat her. Very hopeful.

Crescent Lake is another yet to match last year's winning form but a couple of 3rd places have meant the handicapper won't let go. Track and trip are fine, but is his mark?

Miller Spirit won two races at Goodwood within a week in June. He could not quite manage the hat-trick on this course last time but it wasn't the smoothest run. Hopefully, he can get back to winning form if everything works to his advantage.

Celestial Orbit won nicely at Haydock and the form has worked out well, one of those behind her winning a novice the other day. She has come on a lot since that run and I'm doing a rain dance hoping that some of what is falling here at Manton might arrive at Sandown. Good each-way…

We're having a crack at the Racing League and Expressionless could go well at a big price. His best performance was when winning at Nottingham three runs back and this track has its similarities. It's a tough race but I'm hopeful of a decent run.

Pablo Del Pueblo returns to the scene of his only turf and distance win after a minor setback. He's well drawn and likely to go well if fit enough on his return. The rider knows him now and he has conditions to suit off a well-reduced mark. Hard to ignore.

Small Fry has had two runs from here since coming from Ireland and neither was straightforward for one reason or another. If he could run to more like his Irish form he would go close.

Cerulean Summer has yet to win but as her rating has been dropping, she has been getting nearer, staying on well into a reasonable fifth at Wolverhampton last time. Place chances.

Liberated Lad gave Margot her first winner over 10f at Nottingham a couple of weeks ago. On AW, he's better suited to this longer trip but I'm not sure Wolverhampton is his track. He's drawn well and in good form so goes there with some confidence.

Hul Ah Bah Loo has not been at his best in recent months but the last start looked like a revival and he has tumbled down the handicap. He has conditions to suit again and all his best form is here so he cannot be left out of calculations. The faster they go the better…

Sensorium ran well last time but 6f might be stretching him a shade at this stage of his career. The stiff 5f here helped by a nice draw should be ideal. Hopeful.

The well-connected Climbing was placed over hurdles but he jumps fences well and looks the type to improve now sent chasing. He's had a wind operation and looks to be on a workable mark  Hopeful.
