Profitman ran well last time at Kempton, although possibly racing too far back off a medium gallop. Hopefully, if they go a better pace, Newcastle should suit him better.

Vinny's Dream was disappointing the last day but it could just be that he hasn't much ability. He should win a race at some point though and the cheek-pieces on for the first time today, might make a positive difference.

Liberated Lad ran on well from a bad position running over 2m at Wolverhampton the last day, looking as though he could win over that distance and add it to his already considerable CV. He is in good form at home but could be a victim to a slow early pace which can be a problem over staying trips at Newcastle.

Profitman ran a great race last time. Unfortunately, he hit the front too soon and wandered, causing interference and was demoted to 2nd. He came out of that race in good order and goes to Kempton fresh and well.

Dark Mystery ran a solid race over the course and distance just over two weeks ago. He was beaten a neck by today's rival Altheim and has come out of that race in good form. Hopefully, he can turn around that verdict on the revised terms.

Gordon Grey had a small break after his run at Fakenham, The plan is to go St Moritz for the three weeks in February so this should put him right. He is in good form and has always shown decent early pace, so dropping to 1m2f might not be out of the question.

Profitman was badly drawn the last day but ran a mighty race, settling well in behind and travelling nicely. A mile here with cover looks on the cards tonight and as he came out of the Wolves race in good form we have to be hopeful.

Diamond Dealer was slightly underwhelming at the finish at Uttoxeter but the form still works out as quite strong. We've kept him to a left-hand track and freshened him up as we took him back soon enough the last day. Can run well.

Dark Mystery is in good form and stays this trip well. I'm not sure Wolves is his course but he sets a decent standard on form and should be thereabouts.

Cardano is in great form. He takes another drop in grade - this is his first try in a 0-80 for ages - and must have an each-way chance.

Profitman came out of the winning run at Chelmsford in great form. We tried restrained tactics around his favourite track and they worked a treat. We'll try a similar ride today at Wolves, but the downside is he doesn't have a great draw.

Cheek-pieces didn't seem to make any difference to the racecourse performance of Tactical Control last time. We have to accept he is regressing rather than progressing.

I thought Vinny's Dream was harshly handicapped on his first three runs on the flat, although they were decent efforts. He didn't stay 2m against his elders last time so hopefully, stepping back in trip, he will have a better chance today.

Redhot Whisper is a talented horse but he got a bit above himself at times this season and ended up with an issue. Given a break, that issue has now settled and no longer seems a problem. He is settling well at home and working nicely but will need the race, although this is one of the weakest he has contested.

Blue Hop put in some poor runs last season but during the summer we discovered an issue that we think explained them. He ran a much more promising race on comeback at Chepstow where he was running on nicely and seems to have come on from that at home. He's in good order and we are hoping for a big run today.

Liberated Lad finds himself towards the top end of his handicap potential. He ran well though, the last day back from a short break and stepping back up in trip, has a chance.

St Irene ran well at Cheltenham considering it was only her 2nd start. She's a smart mare and the ground should be fine as long as it's not bottomless. She has come out of Cheltenham in great order.

Meeting abandoned

Tactical Control wasn't beaten far the last day but overall it has been a struggle to get him close to his best fiorm. Let's hope that run signals better performances starting tonight.

Cheek-pieces didn't work with Profitman last time so we've left them off today. The hope is to get him back to his usual level, which would put him right in the picture.

Cardano returns this evening to the track and trip of his most recent run and obviously, that should suit him once more. He has been performing well of late and should run his usual race which would put him bang there.

Liberated Lad is getting up towards his potential handicap ceiling and probably doesn't have a lot of wiggle room. He is in good form and we hope he can compete on this high mark and put his last run on terrible ground behind him. 

Martin Plage ran well last time - his first try at around  2m4f. He's going up to 3m today, something we always thought he wanted and is in great form at home.

Vinny's Dream didn't take to hurdles last time, despite showing promise when schooling at home. His mark of 73 is a tough enough starting point but the step up in trip is right for him and he should be competitive. Each-way chances.

It wasn't an enjoyable introduction to hurdles for Longhouse Legacy at Chepstow. She was almost carried out early on and then being hassled by a loose horse upset her chance significantly. Happily, she has come out of it well and hopefully will get a better run round today. Each-way hopes at a nice price.

Blue Hop has struggled at times, mostly last year and an issue did come to light. That has been dealt with and he seems to be back in his old form where he looked such a smart horse when winning at Ayr as a novice. Today will show us whether he is truly over his problems.

Gordon Grey ran his usual sort of AW race last time at Chelmsford, not running too badly when 4th as a 40/1 chance. He has schooled well since unseating at Fakenham and has run well on soft ground at Chester so should go there today with a great chance.

Stepping back up to a mile might help this disappointing sort to run into some sort of form.

Cardano is in decent form and has run well the last couple of times. The return to 1m6f is a positive and we expect a big run from him tonight.

St Irene has always been a lovely filly and she proved to us she has a big engine when winning so easily at Southwell. She has come on a lot from that debut and has really shown her true colours since coming back into training this time round. I don't think she's at all out of place in Listed company and she still might prove better even than we think.

Vinny's Dream gives his all on the flat where his opening mark of 73 might be a bit harsh. He has been schooling for a while as he was bought to go jumping. He isn't the biggest and while he does jump well, he can be a shade novicey.

Dark Mystery has been running well over 1m6f and we're stepping him back up to 2m. That should suit him better, but to be fair he's an infrequent winner (one in 23 overall) and he has yet to score from six runs on AW.

Gordon Grey wasn't helped by some novicey jumping on slippery ground over hurdles at Fakenham recently. Luckily, he seems to have come out of the experience unscathed and returns to the AW with a decent chance.

West Warhorse had been off for nine months before his comeback run at Southwell and understandably tired late on after shaping nicely enough. He has schooled well over fences at home in advance of his chase debut. We think he will run a big race here.

Tactical Control ran okay the last time but no more than that. He's still struggling to hit top form and while he seems in good form at home, he's looking as though he's a horse we need to be moving on.

Cardano ran well last time out over this course and distance. He seems well at home and I'm hopeful he can run well again. He's overpriced.

African Spirit has been missing in himself all year but came back more to what I think he is before his last race at Newcastle. He showed much more zest there but needed the race. Now dropping back in trip with the benefit of the run under his belt, he should be seen in a better light.

Diamond Dealer won nicely last time and did everything right. He came out of the race in good order and returns to the same track and trip. It's just a slight step up in trip on similar ground so we have to go there with high hopes.

Liberated Lad has been in good form of late and is enjoying his racing. The trip is fine but the ground is an unknown. He has some form on it but usually we try to avoid anything softer than good.

Profitman has been back to form of late,  and has been only narrowly beaten the last twice when appearing to have his race won. We hope cheek-pieces will have a positive effect and help him stay in front once he gets there.

Tactical Control has been struggling to get back to form after his win at Salisbury four runs back. Hopefully, the switch to Chelmsford might bring about some improvement.

Dark Mystery ran well last time in a race that fell apart. He would have a chance if in a similar contest but this looks a little deeper. We will see.

One More Chrome ran well at Leicester on ground softer than ideal in a race that has worked out well. He is stepping up in trip on slightly better ground which will suit. He should not disgrace himself.

An issue came to light after Worcester which may have explained Gordon Grey's poor run at Epsom previously. We believe we have fixed it and are hoping for a better run in a competitive race around a circuit that should suit him.

Profitman was much better last time back at Chelmsford and came out of it in great form. He has a solid chance if he can repeat the performance of the last day.

Caher Roes Den has his first run of the season and on ground that is probably faster than ideal, but as yet not proven to be the case. The trip is up his street and he starts off on a relatively low mark considering his novice runs. Interesting.

Martin Plage is in great form at home and appears to have improved from last season, taking well to hurdling.  He might need further in time but today's race is a good start for him.

We had high hopes for African Spirit early on in the season but he wasn't right after Southwell where he ran a good race in 2nd when possibly not quite 100%. He seems something like his old self again now and a nice return to action will do him good.

Longhouse Legacy is a smart mare with loads of potential. She can be her own worst enemy but we've done a few things differently this time. She seems in great form, jumps like a stag and loves cut in the ground. She should be fairly straight for this today.

Vinny's Dream is better than the result of his Catterick race which was decently run on a track and on ground that didn't suit. He may lack a bit of quality for this and may also be better at 1m4f.

Tactical Control was unsuited by a slow pace the last day over a longer trip. We're dropping back in distance here and hopefully, that will suit him better but I still think he does want further.

Cardano is not getting any younger but as at Chelmsford in the summer, he can still win his races when the right one comes along. If he can get forward and enjoy himself he should run his race, but I fear this may be a bit too deep and sharp for him at his stage of life.

Dark Mystery ran one of his better races at Newbury the last day and has run okay a couple of times at Southwell over the two miles. It's a competitive little race but he should give his running and can go close if he does.

West Warhorse will be our first jumps runner from among the team returning from their summer breaks. He has done enough work to be fit and seems in good form at home. He can be a law unto himself at times but also has ability. He wants the easier side of good ground which he will get today and he will give us a useful gauge of where the others are fitness-wise. 

Catterick proved to be the wrong track for Liberated Lad last time, not suiting him from the word go. He seems in good form at home and now, returning to more favourable conditions, will hopefully not be far away.

Profitman kept galloping on after a tardy start last time over an inadequate 6f at Kempton. He's now back up to his previous winning distance and as he came out of Kempton well, we're anticipating another decent showing now.

Tactical Control ran all right in the Leger Legends race at Doncaster, looking as though he needs further. He seems in good form but still has a bit to prove.

Profitman is in good form. He's stepping back a bit in trip but as he's shown plenty of speed, hopefully, he won't be outpaced and should show up well.

Gordon Grey was slightly disappointing at Epsom the last day. He has been schooling for a while and jumps very well. He is in good form at home and this seems a good opportunity to start him over hurdles.

We all think Tactical Control stays further and it was good to see him put his best foot forward over the trip at Salisbury. Hopefully, he will maintain the forward progression.

Secret Beach gets the 3yo allowance in this Classified stakes. He stays further, which will be an asset in this cavalry charge, and is competitive off his mark. He should go well.

Ray Vonn will enjoy the slower ground. We experimented with faster going at Ripon last time as he had shown form on such a surface before but it was lightning quick and didn't suit one bit. He's in good form at home and hopefully, can be bang there on his favoured ground.

One More Chrome is a nice type and a good model. He goes well enough at home and has had plenty of education. I still think he will benefit from this debut but the stiff 7f will suit him.

Dark Mystery is back on the track where he gained his only previous win and on what we believe is his favoured ground. He is fresh and well at home so takes his chance. Hopeful.

Ragosina's finishing position and distance beaten last time at Newbury were very creditable considering the weight-for-age scale was against her and the form has worked out since. She has been schooling well after initial reluctance and the return to a quicker surface over jumps should suit. She is overpriced as long as she puts her best foot forward.

Tactical Control ran better the last day. he seems in good form at home and hopefully, should be bang there at the finish.

Global Skies is related to a hurdle winner and has been schooling over hurdles since he was a 2yo. He would prefer a bit of dig in the ground but we will try to cope without that today first time and over this extended trip. We've been gearing him up for hurdling since we bought him so hopefully, he should do well although they usually do benefit from their first hurdles run.

Cardano won nicely at Chelmsford after enjoying his own way out in front. I've always thought he would get two miles but he has never managed it on turf. That said, his AW record is far better and he has been fresh and well at home since the latest win.

My Chiquita is in good form at home and ran well on softer-than-ideal ground at Carlisle. She should enjoy the track, trip and ground and the only concern is she's a smallish filly carrying a decent chunk of weight, but it is the right race.

Summer Night City ran okay on his comeback run and seems to have taken a step forward at home. We're moving him up in trip here as he seems to need the extra distance based on his performances. Can run well.

Gordon Grey won the Lady Riders' Derby over the course and distance in great style and has come out of that race in good order. Hopefully, he can cope with the step up in class to win his second Deby. He enjoys the track, trip and ground.

Profitman ran well fresh last time out over one mile. We're stepping back here to his preferred trip, so he shouldn't be as tired at the finish as he was last time. In good form at home, so optimistic.

Secret Beach is fresh and well at home and has run well the last couple of times. The ten furlongs should be fine for him and he could be bang there. Each-way hopes.

Lucky's Dream put in a poor run at Haydock and I'm unsure why. He is a better horse though on AW and his best form on the surface would put him in here with a big chance off 80, even under top-weight. Going up in trip should be a positive too.

One More Chrome is a nice horse but very much one for the future. Six furlongs would be his minimum trip and this looks the perfect opportunity for him to make his debut.

Vinny's Dream showed a lot of promise making his debut over 10f at Chelmsford three months ago. We think stepping up in trip will suit him and he seems in good form at home. The ground is a concern as I always thought he was a good, good to soft horse, but the race is worth chancing with the poor form - excepting the favourite - on show.

Liberated Lad has been in great form including a 3rd over the wholly inadequate 5.5f of the Magnolia Cup since his last Rules run. He's won his last two, stays 1m4f well and loves amateur races. Should be bang there all being well.

Love You Darling has been in good form. I think this is her trip and she sees in great heart at home. We're taking a step down in class hoping she will be more involved.

Ray Vonn has been in great form this year, winning both his starts. He does appreciate soft ground and while there's none around at the moment, this pot is worth running for. He will take his chance and while he might be at a tactical disadvantage on this track, being a hold-up horse, with some luck he should be bang there at the finish.

One More Chrome is a nice type that has ability and shows promise. Time will be his best friend and he should benefit from the experience but he is ready to make his debut.

Lucky's Dream was tapped for a bit of toe over 1m2f on fast ground at Yarmouth and this extra half-mile will be more in his favour. He has been fresh and well at home so we have to be hopeful.

Gozo ran well on his comeback appearance and seems to have taken a step forward at home since. He was ready to go at Epsom last week when that meeting was abandoned midway through the evening. He's still in great form and this looks a good opportunity for him.

Unfortunately, Dark Mystery got loose at Nottingham by just messing around. He likes quick ground and making the running. He's versatile trip-wise especially if he gets an easy lead.

My Chiquita enjoys quick gound and staying trips. Newmarket turned tactical and caught her a bit flat-footed but hopefully, a more truly-run race should see her in a better light. More than capable off this mark over tonight's trip.

Gozo ran well for a long time when taking a blow after seven months off on this track the other day. Cheek-pieces are re-fitted and he seems to have taken a step forward from that comeback effort. I think he will run a big race.

Summer Night City won a junior hurdle last year and ran okay at Ayr on ground a little softer than ideal. It will be interesting to see how he gets on first run back but I think he will improve for whatever he does here.

Ragosina ran well last time on the flat looking as though she wanted further. She has good form on quick ground but also acts on soft. Hopefully, a truly-run race will play into that stamina, but it is a hot race.

My Dream World won as he should have at Haydock last time. He has a liking for fast ground and is bred to stay. He came out of Haydock in good form and while still learning, is ready for a better race which hopefully, could lead onto the Melrose at York next month.

Over-racing got the better of Profitman last time. He does seem though to be somewhere near being back to his best. In decent form at home and it will be interesting to see how he takes back to his racing after a break.

Liberated Lad gave Margot her first winner over 10f at Nottingham a couple of weeks ago. On AW, he's better suited to this longer trip but I'm not sure Wolverhampton is his track. He's drawn well and in good form so goes there with some confidence.

I Still Have Faith is in great form at home. He was unlucky at Epsom but that was always a possibility. He's a solid top-end Class 4 horse and Class 3 when things pan out. Ideally, he could do with a bit more cut but there are only a few races for him nowadays. Track and trip should suit and we hope he'll go well.

We've aimed Gordon Grey at this ever since his good win at Pontefract in May - he did run okay when 2nd from the front at Chester in between. He is in good form and has proved himself to go on most grounds. This track, trip and running style should suit. Hopefully, he goes well tonight.

Givitawhirl is still maturing and progressing at home. From what we see from his work, he is in good form and hopefully, he will show more than was the case at Nottingham.

I Still Have Faith remains in great form at home. Epsom didn't suit him - it was always a bit of a gamble. He ran well in a stable staff race at Ayr over 6f and while he might not want bottomless ground, he has got a competitive mark over hurdles having not stayed on winter ground at Cheltenham after his easy debut win. Hopeful.

Ray Vonn finally gets ground, track and trip to his liking. He has already proved he is up to being competitive in this sort of grade and he's in great form at home. He just needs settling and riding to be produced late. He should be bang there at the finish.

Love You Darling ran well at Wolves, just getting outpaced towards the finish. She isn't the easiest filly to get to produce her best but she has no weight and I think the trip will suit. Could run well and be close to getting in the placings.

Global Skies will hopefully be getting his required soft ground today. It will be softer than the last twice anyway and the stamina-biased track will help even if the race is very tough.

Secret Beach ran well from off the pace at Newmarket on different ground to Goodwood. He seems in good form and is still maturing, growing and progressing. This is a good opportunity for him to record his first win.

Champagne City won the Chepstow stable staff race from off the front and seems in good form. He is 11 years young, though, and a bit of a monkey, but has it in him when he decides to give his best.

Redhot Whisper ran well at Epsom in a decent handicap. He seems in good form at home and hopefully, Pontefract can bring the best out of him. This is a lesser race than the two Nottingham maidens he contested and if as I hope we will get a truly-run race that will suit.

Cardano came on for his return with a better effort at York last time in the lady amateurs' Queen Mother Cup. He has a decent record on AW and we think the trip today is about right for him. He could run a big race but now he's older he has become an infrequent winner.

Dark Mystery ran flat last time at Southwell having run a very good 2nd there previously. He wants quick ground, so in his case, the hope is the rain stays away.

Ray Vonn wants softer ground so if there's no soft in the going description he won't run. He is in great form at home and his last run when a winner over this CD on return brought only a 3lb rise.

Liberated Lad ran well to finish 2nd in a stable staff race since his last official run. He won this last year, so we're giving it another go to see what happens.

Lucky's Dream took a big step forward from the promise of his comeback run when winning nicely at Newbury. He has come out of that race well and while he's sometimes not the easiest of rides, it seems a no-brainer to go again quickly while he's in good form. Hopefully, he should give a good account.

Gozo is making a comeback after a setback. He is in good form at home but usually takes a run to get back to full fitness. He is still a maiden on the flat but should give a good account of himself.

Ragosina ran well when 4th at Goodwood after a short break and now resumes hurdling in an ordinary contest. She was tapped for a bit of toe at Goodwood but has come out of the race well and now can run over a more suitable trip. Hopeful.

My Chiquita ran well over 1m6f at Doncaster but she stays all day and loves quick ground. Everything, therefore, should be to suit over 2m here today and she shouldn't be far away as long as it isn't too tactical.

Secret Beach did much better with the tongue-tie on at Goodwood. It will be different ground at Newmarket but he is maturing with time and experience so should handle it.

Lucky's Dream was 2nd in this race last year. He ran well on his recent comeback over a trip he found a little sharp. He should enjoy the ground at a trip and track he's shown suit him and from a slightly lower mark. Good each-way shout.

My Dream World ran well on fast ground in a novice at Haydock last time out, He has come out of the race in good order and will have learnt plenty from it. Big chance.

Love You Darling picked up the bonus when winning at Bath two runs back and could never get involved upped in class to a Listed race last time. This is her first run on AW and she's in good form for it. She should run her race although we wouldn't want it to get too tactical.

Central City stumbled out of the gates last time but ran well after being a bit too keen early on, making up much of the lost ground. He's been in good form at home since and hopefully can get closer today.

African Spirit lost his way after his promising comeback run at Southwell. We think he now needs further than a mile and this 1m4f should put the poor Newmarket showing behind him. Looking for a step back in the right direction.

Secret Beach ran too fresh first time back this year. The tongue-tie goes on hopefully to help and we're also stepping up in trip. That should suit on pedigree, but he is still learning and we're looking to see a bit more from him today.

Tactical Control ran well for a long way at Nottingham. He has been schooling nicely and hopefully, will take well to jumping.

Champagne City is a good old boy and he seemed to enjoy Margot Scu on his back the twice she's ridden him in races. He handles quick ground and is versatile at any trip. He shouldn't be too far away depending on which side of bed he got out of this morning.!

Love You Darling showed with her win last time what we thought she was capable of. She's chasing a bit of black type now for her pedigree to breed from. Ideally, some cut in the ground would help but I don't think this is the strongest Listed race, apart from the favourite.

Ray Vonn battled to win last time at Nottingham over this trip. Up 3lb for that he has to hold every chance, especially as there are a few non-runners in a depleted field.

My Dream World showed a little promise on his first career run at Chelmsford last year. He will improve going up in trip but faces a few decent animals on this return to action. We'll be delighted with a place.

Lucky's Dream needs quick ground. He's in good form at home but like a lot of the older horses, he will carry a fair bit of condition after five months off. The track should suit but the trip is short of ideal. A nice starting point for his season.

Central City ran well at Chelmsford following a near four-month break. He is in good form and fit, running here off a very low mark. He's still carrying a bit of condition as he's an older lad and it takes plenty of work to get it off him.

Liberated Lad came out of Nottingham in good form. This race today looks a little deeper than last time but he is in good form and hopefully can run another solid race.

The drier the ground the better for My Chiquita. She ran nicely at Aintree and now, switching back to the flat will have her chance. She has been in good form at home.

The ground was too quick for Global Skies at Ascot. He has been fresh and well at home and hopefully conditions today will be more suitable than last time.

Redhot Whiser put in a better run the last day. Hopefully, the faster pace in a classy handicap will suit as should the slight increase in distance. He is in good form at home.

I Still Have Faith came out of Nottingham in good form. He is now stepping up to what we think is his ideal trip and the ground should be in his favour. He needs the race to pan out his way but he usually turns up and he has a nice weight.

Gordon Grey keeps bumping into one, but on paper, this appears to be easier than some races he's contested. Hopefully, he can get his head in front for a much-deserved victory.

Love You Darling ran well at Goodwood on her return from her winter break. She seems in good form at home and hopefully, she will appreciate a step up in trip. Her pedigree says it should suit her well.

Mt Dream World is a nice horse and a full-brother to our talented filly My Chiquita. He ran well first time out at Chelmsford and now, stepping onto turf on the easier side will suit him. He is still learning and a project type of horse.

Stepping up Givitawhirl in trip for this handicap debut will help him, but he still isn't the finished article growth-wise. He's still learning at home but off this mark, he would have a chance if putting his best foot forward.

Sarsons Risk seems to have come to himself in the last couple of weeks. AW wasn't his thing. so hopefully now returning to turf will see him in a better light.

The first-time cheek-pieces had a too severe effect on Redhot Whisper last time causing him to be too keen. Hopefully, the combination of a hood and tongue-tie will prevent that tendency. If he puts his best foot forward he should go close, but at this point, it's up to him.

My Chiquita didn't seem to enjoy Hereford but Aintree will suit her much better today. Hopefully, she will put up a bold show - as long as the ground remains on the better side of good.

The penny has dropped only slowly for The Eventmaster who has taken his time getting the hang of racing. He has been schooling well at home and should learn plenty today when I hope he will be competitive. 

Cardano is a good old boy who is in great form at home. He normally needs his first run to strip fit as it's tough to get the weight off.

St Irene is a lovely mare. She goes well at home but will learn plenty on this racecourse debut before going away for the summer.

My Dream World is a lovely stamp of horse and time is doing wonders for him. He will only run if we get some rain which seems unlikely at this point.

Imperial Phoenix makes his debut here. He's a half-brother to six winners by Phoenix Of Spain and he has been in very good form at home. He's ultra-fit for this debut and looks smart. He could be anything.

Gordon Grey has been running well, just finding one too good in his recent runs. He's stepping up in trip so will be ridden with a bit of restraint. That should improve him and put him bang there.

Tactical Control needed his run at Kempton last month, his first since we bought him out of Charlie Hills' stable at the HIT sale. A mile is a bare minimum for him so softer ground would be a plus but he seems in great firm at home and we like him. I think he will be at his best at between 1m2f and 1m4f further down the line.

I Still Have Faith is relatively versatile ground-wide and seems in good form at home after his six-month break following his stint of hurdling. I think he will take a step forward from today starting back as he is on a career-high mark.

Global Skies settled too well at Beverley but ran home well. He has come out of that in good form and is now stepping into what should be his trip. Ground on the easier side of good will suit, but he could be potentially a victim of a slow pace as he's a hold-up performer.

Liberated Lad has had a well-deserved short break after his Chelmsford win. He seems in great form at home and the drying ground at Nottingham will suit. He goes there with a great chance as there's a lot in his favour.

Ray Vonn has taken a bit of time to get going this year but is in good form at home. He is returning to the one track where he's a previous winner. That said, he's a consistent old lad who should run his race, although it's his first of the season.

We have given Redhot Whisper a gelding operation - maybe a bit harsh after two underwhelming performances, and he needed the comeback run at Chelmsford. He also wears first-time cheel-pieces which seem to have had a positive effect at home. His initial form sets the standard and we have to be hopeful.

Vinny's Dream is a nicely-bred middle-distance type who has matured well into a 3yo. He has run in a barrier trial already and knows his job, This is his first day at the races and we'll see how he gets on.

My Chiquita has been waiting since around Cheltenham Festival time for the better ground. She has been bouncing at home and we're hoping she can make it three from three over hurdles.

Love You Darling is a nice filly and she seems to have matured and strengthened from last year. She is fit enough for her first run back and we think she will handle the ground. Hopefully, she can put up a good run.

Central City is in good form at home. He's carrying a little more weight than last time, but it's his first time in a 0-55 off a career-low mark and over an ideal trip. Each-way chances.

We're stepping Champagne City back up in trip and down in grade for this amateurs' handicap. When Margot rode him here in December he seemed to enjoy himself. Hoping he can get the lead, then he should go close, but he is unpredictable.

Secret Beach was gelded after his two 4th places last year. He's matured over the winter and while he hasn't been showing obvious improvement, the extra furlong will help.

Gordon Grey should enjoy the softer conditions than when he was 2nd here last time. He's in good form at home and I'm very hopeful he will get the job done.

Dark Mystery ran a great race last time when 2nd the other day, appearing to enjoy Southwell, but he was given a relatively easy lead. Hopefully, he will take a small step forward for that and should be competitive once more if allowed to make the running again.

Global Skies did well last year and has strengthened up over the winter. He still needs to learn to relax but is getting there. This first run back of the year will give us an idea of where he is, but he seems in great form at home.

Non-runner

We bought Tactical Control out of Charlie Hills' stable last autumn. We've had him gelded and his job will be over hurdles later on. This first run since October should bring him forward.

Things didn't go right for Profitman in his hat-trick attempt at Wolverhampton where if you miss the break from the inside draw, it can get tricky - and it did. We're claiming this evening and with him in such good form, we hope he can overcome his outside stall.

African Spirit ran well at Southwell needing the run. He seems in good form at home and hopefully, will take a step forward to run another nice race.

Profitman is progressing with his races now he is relaxing and breathing properly. Hopefully, his upward trajectory can continue. H's giving away a lot of weight but there does not appear to be many improvers to worry about.

This race seems to fulfill most of Gordon Grey's requirements. The one question is whether 1m2f or 1m4f will be his best trip, and we should get an answer to that conundrum later today. What is certain, he will be fitter than last time and is in good form.

Dark Mystery is no superstar on the all-0weather but he is fit and well at home. If lacking a gear on the track, this race is within his capabilities and he should runa  decent race today.

Non-runner

Profitman is getting the hang of things and he has come out of his recent Wolverhampton success in good order. Hopefully, he can cope with the 4lb higher mark to complete the quick double.

As ever, it will depend on what side of the bed Champagne City gets up. His inconsistent form has helped reduce his mark and he only needs a little encouragement on how the race is going to be competitive.

Redhot Whisper is fresh and well at home. He disappointed in the Group 1 Futurity Trophy at Doncaster when on form he ought to have been bang there. He should run a nice race here and hopefully not be too far away.

Ragosina is in good form at home. Se bombed out on the sodden ground at Stratford. The tongue-tie seems to work at home and with a nice weight pull she has a squeak.

Profitman did a bit too much too early over 1m at Chelmsford last time. Stepping back to 7f around the sharp Wolverhampton track hopefully will suit him better. He's in good form at home.

Sarsons Risk had a break since his last run and we're gearing him up for the turf season. He is back in good form at home now and may just need the run. He should appreciate the trip and the likely truly-run race.

Martin Plage is in good form at home. He disappointed at Sandown but the slow pace there was all against him. I'm expecting a bold show today.

Mariamne has been rather confusing, but the visor seems to have had the desired effect at home. She runs here off a reduced mark and has form at this trip from last year, so it will be interesting to see if the visor works equally well on the track.

My Chiquita is coming along nicely for her objective at the Cheltenham mares' meeting next month. She would be ready to run over hurdles but we don't think she likes soft ground so a run on the AW should put her spot on. In good form at home, she does tend to lack a gear on AW.

Champagne City joins My Chiquita in this stayers' handicap. The old monkey likes to make the running and can put up a good display when things go his way but doesn't like it when they don't

Longhouse L:egacy is a slow burner but he is progressing and ran an improved race last time. I think he has taken a step forward in his work at home since then and is in good form. He sets a fair standard.

My Fernando did settle and travel better on heavy ground at Lingfield. Today's better going should enable him to run an improved race as long as he settles. I still think he is of only limited ability,

Profitman ran a much better race the last day, although he did hold his head a little high in the final half- furlong. Stepping up in trip should help him go a bit better and he's been in great form at home since that race.

Ragosina improved for the step up in trip last time. She keeps galloping and seems to handle soft ground. She has a good amount of experience so while Nicholls' runner will be hard to beat, she will give it a good go.

African Spirit came into training early and he has been shaping up well. I entered him for a Listed race at Chantilly on the 8th but decided against travelling and found this alternative. He's a very nice animal but still a bit of a baby so another run in a novice will do no harm. Ideally, he wants further but should have the pace for 7f around Southwell and he seems in great form at home.

Mariamne has gone backwards on the racecourse in two runs after a decent debut for me at Newcastle. She seems to have turned the corner at home though and I hope that will bring a similar transition on the track.

Champagne City is going back up in distance. He's in good form but in a competitive race, it depends as ever on what side of the bed he gets out of. Chance if in the mood for it.

There was a glimmer of hope from Profitman the last time he went to the track at Southwell. He is continually progressing at home. I think he's a 7f turf horse rather than an AW performer. We won't have to wait too long for turf racing. Where did the winter go?

Espoir De Teillee is in great form at home. He won his comeback point comfortably and while the ground today is an unknown, this has always been the target on his way to the Ludlow Gold Cup.

Blue Hop had a small issue at Doncaster the last day when he was in the process of running a much-improved race when badly hampered. He seems fully recovered and in great form at home. We're hoping he can go close and while the ground is a slight unknown I expect he will handle it.

Gordon Grey is more a turf horse in the making, but that need not mean he can't win on AW, look at my comments on Liberated Lad yesterday! Things have gone from bad to worse with each run for GG so he's had a small break and is starting fresh. I think he'll run his race and be bang there.

Ragosina tried her hand for black type after a pleasing start over hurdles. She wasn't right at Newbury but put in a much better effort at Doncaster even though getting outpaced and clouting the 2nd last. She's stepping up in trip and her big weight allowance gives her a great chance if the favourite falters.

Liberated Lad is more of a turf horse as most of mine are but has been unlucky the last three times on AW. This is the best chance he's had to get his head in front for a while and he seems in great form at home.

My Fernando needs to learn to relax and breathe. The addition of the tongue-tie going over hurdles and heavy ground should encourage him to do so. If all that happens he could run a nice race but he's a bit of a problem horse.

Caher Roes Den ran a much better race when a not knocked-about 3rd at Market Rasen behind two horses with more experience. Stepping up half-a-mile in trip should suit and the only possible negative is we're bringing him back rather quickly.

West Warhorse won well over track and trip the time before last, but he had issues last time. If back on song, which he seems to be at home, and puts up a display around Fakenham like his previous one, he should be bang there.

Caher Roes Den faded quickly at Ayr and I struggled to find any reason for it. I think he's a good horse and has been in fine form at home, so he should run a good race.

Reset Button ran his best race for some time when 3rd at Chelmsford. The slightly shorter trip will be in his favour, Hopefully, Jack can time his finish to perfection.

Dark Mystery is probably not an all-weather horse but he seems in form and came out of his latest race at Lingfield in good order. I'm hoping he can prove us all wrong!

Midnight Margarita has been running nice races although wanting further. We think she is on the weak side so is probably due a break after today. Deserves a chance here stepped up in trip off a low mark.

Blue Hop impressed in winning a novice hurdle at Ayr last February but struggled in two visits to Cheltenham, under a penalty in a hurdle in April and then when pulled up on chase debut there last month. This looks easier but he still has plenty to prove.

On reflection. Ragosina wasn't right when we took her to Newbury. She's back in good form and stayed on well over 2m reverting to the AW at Wolverhampton earlier in the month. The ground should suit and she could well outrun her odds. She'll need to if she's going to collect some black type, which is today's main aim. 

Mariamne didn't get the rub of the green with a difficult trip round against older horses from her bad draw last time. Now against her own age group with cheek-pieces back on, we hopefully, should see a better performance from her.

Sarsons Risk steps back in trip but that shouldn't be a problem as he does have speed. A more fair race will suit him and he has been in great form at home. He should be bang there all the way and has excellent chances of finishing in the money.

Reset Button appeared back to his old self at Southwell. He travelled like the winner for much of the race, if not really putting it all in at the finish. We're hoping that stepping him back in trip will suit and so we try again.

Mariamne gets in off a low weight especially when the jockey's claim is taken into account. She ran better than her finishing position at Newcastle suggested but is drawn wide which isn't ideal. She does have good gate speed though so hopefully, she can outrun her odds.

Liberated Lad got too far back off a slow pace at Newcastle. The cheek-pieces are reapplied this evening and hopefully, they will spark a revival.

Central City has had his issues but he is gradually coming back into form after injury. He seems in good heart at home although recent runs have been somewhat lacking.

Profitman has shown mixed form in maidens. I think six furlongs is the place to start him off in handicaps. I hope he can show more now in this weaker company.

Gordon Grey is in good form. He was hampered before getting going at Southwell around here the last day. Hopefully, he will enjoy better luck this evening.

In hindsight, Ragosina wasn't in the best form going into Newbury but is in great shape at home now. I think she will appreciate the trip and it will be interesting to see how she gets on in this first experience of all-weather.

West Warhorse surprised us at Fakenham where he showed good speed, slick jumping and a liking for wet ground. Plumpton should suit him equally well and under similar conditions he can give another bold show.

Reset Button lost his way towards the end of his 2023 campaign due to some issues and he now returns from a break since July. There has been no sign of any of those problems this time around, although he isn't the most reliable of horses.

Sarsons Risk made amends for Newcastle by winning nicely at Southwell last time. He has been in great shape at home since then and goes to Kempton tonight in good form. He will have a decent chance especially if they go a good gallop.

Gordon Grey is a nice horse and a recent addition to the stable. He ran well over middle-distance trips as a 3yo but has strengthened up and has had a wind-op since joining us. He seems in great form and  I hope he will be fit enough after the break to do himself justice.

Midnight Margarita has been in decent form at home. She's a weak, leggy filly who ran better than the bare result suggests last time. Hopefully, she will enjoy the all-weather and we're looking for progress from her.

Liberated Lad is stepping back up in trip. He has been running ok but hopefully, he will settle to help him stay the distance.

Diamond Dealer had a wind-op after Chepstow and is also stepping up in trip. I think that will suit him and I'm not scared of the heavy ground for him. He is in good form and we'll see how we get on. He still needs to learn to gallop in a  straight line instead of hanging and hopefully, the wind-op will have fixed that.

Profitman was too keen racing over a mile the last day. Going back to 6f should help him relax but he's going to need to learn how to do so before we can start thinking of winning with him.

Longhouse Legacy is a very well-bred mare but I'm not altogether sure where I stand with her. She's fit and healthy but has put in some disappointing efforts on the gallops and I cannot seem to find a reason why. We will learn plenty about her here though and she does have the engine to play a big part. We just haven't seen it at home recently.

Brechin Castle came out of Cheltenham in great form. He has trained well since. his work has been as impressive as always and he goes to Ascot in good order.

Givitawhirl pulled too hard and was over-keen over a mile at Kempton. Dropping back in trip with a hood will hopefully help, but I do think he's more a turf horse than an AW performer.

Circle Of Hope goes well enough at home. She is on the weaker side physically but in good form. If she could take a step forward she might get in the mix but it's a tough little race and her last outing before a holiday.

Dark Mystery seems in great form. I'm sure he will stay the trip in normal circumstances but this is a trappy race today.

Profitman was disappointing on debut at Kempton but hopefully can take a step forward with the experience behind him. I think probably he is one for the turf next year.

Champagne City ideally needs further but he is fresh and well. This seems a good place to start back after his break. He likes to dictate but this will probably be next to impossible over this distance and on all-weather.

West Warhouse ran better than the bare form suggested last time. He will appreciate this step up in trip and possibly even further in the future. He is in good form and could take a leading part in what looks potentially a weak race.

Mariamne is having her first run for me., I think she will be a seven-furlong mid-division filly going forward and has had a breathing operation since joining us after being withdrawn from the HIT sale. She's ready to start and we will learn plenty about her today.

Sarsons Risk was unlucky not to be closer the last day. He seems to have come on for that run and looks to be in great form. Hopefully, making that expected step forward would see him go close.

Big Bresil is a horse with ability but one that also has his issues. He doesn't take a lot of racing and have aimed him at this race since we finished off last season. He should stay the trip and is in good form at home.

We were delighted when Blue Hop beat a decent field over hurdles at Ayr last February, but he didn't really back it up raised in grade around here at the April meeting. He is in great form for this debut over fences and should run a fine race, but where that puts him in this smart field is the question.

It's taken a long time to get Athgarvan back after a throat issue and also poor jumping when schooling. But he is ready to make his debut now and it will be interesting to see how he gets on. He is not devoid of ability but does not make life easy for himself.

My Dream World is a very nice type. He has taken a bit of time to come to hand, but is now ready to run. He's nicely bred but hasn't the best of draws which isn't ideal first time out. He does have an engine though and it will be interesting to see how he gets on. We will learn plenty about him, while he will get an idea of the racing game.

Liberated Lad is now into an amateurs' race and sticking to 1m2f. If he can get out of the stalls properly and not get too far behind he should have a chance to exploit his slipping mark. It's all up to him at this stage.

Cahr Roes Den is a nice scopey sort we bought from the Aintree sale in April soon after his impressive win in an Irish point. He had a superficial setback a couple of months ago which cost him a run in a bumper, hence going straight over hurdles.  He has done plenty of work and jumps well. Hopeful.

Summer Night City is quirky but has ability as he showed when winning 2nd time out. He also has experience and this is his last chance to run in one of these 3yo NH juvenile hurdles. He's in good form and this seems an easier option than the Taunton race later in the week, which we avoided.

We've always liked Givitawhirl but he disappointed when encountering soft ground on his debut. Gelded since, he is much more a three-year-old type that meanwhile will learn plenty tonight. 

Profitman was ready to go in mid-season but had a couple of setbacks. He is a nice horse but starts in even better company. He will learn plenty as we will also about him.

Central City lost any chance at the start on his return after a break. He stays this longer trip and if he gets away a little more alertly, he might have place prospects.

Non-runner - meeting abandond

Ragosina had been with me for just a fortnight, straight out of the HIT sale and ran a great race first time over hurdles. Maybe we should have had her handier that day. She came out of the race well and has been in good form since. Given a bit of expected progress from first race to second, she should run a nice race.

Non-runner

We thought West Warhorse would go well in his bumper at Worcester, but he ran a puzzling race. He has schooled well for this hurdles debut. He seems in good form, will learn plenty from today and will tell us where to go next.

We will be relying on a stronger gallop once more to allow Liberated Lad to settle. If he gets it, he should be staying on strongly, but it all depends on the pace. It could be that nowadays he might need headgear.

Circle Of Hope is a lovely home-bred three-year-old making his debut under any rules of racing. He does everything right at home and is very straightforward.  He has been schooled to make the running and has done plenty of work. Hopeful.

This is Central City's first run for me and his first run back after a small issue. He has won over further and from much higher marks, so it will be interesting to see how he gets on today.

This is the final run of a long year for Lucky's Dream. He stays two miles but all his wins have been left-handed and not right as he'll get tonight at Kempton. We've freshened him up for this after his flat run at Chelmsford.

Brechin Castle came out of his debut at Sedgefield in super form. His preparation for Cheltenham has gone smoothly - he seems to have been sharpened up and stepped forward from his debut. He's as fresh as paint and we've always held him in very high regard.

I Still Have Faith has been in great form at home and seems to have taken a step forward from his first run over hurdles. He's a strong traveller that handles a bit of easy going. I'm not sure about proper jumping soft ground, but he will give a good account.

This is a first run back for Sarsons Risk after his break. He seems fresh and in good form at home. We're hoping to see a nice run to build on before he goes back hurdling.

Fit from recent hurdling attempts, when Cardano did show a glimmer more at Chepstow than previously at Sedgefield, he has been freshened up for his last run of 2023. He has his best form on all-weather or a sounder turf surface as when winning the jump jockeys  Derby at Epsom this summer. He is well handicapped on his old form and hopefully can make a good showing here. 

Martin Plage ran a big race on debut at Cheltenham, setting honest fractions and we couldn't be disappointed with him. He has taken it well considering he ran hard and was fit.  He remains in good form and should run another big race as long as Cheltenham hasn't left its mark, and he's not showing it at home.

Liberated Lad ran well at Newcastle, dropping back to 1m2f. We're hoping for a strong pace for him to finish off from this evening. He does seem in good order but can be hard to predict.

Lucky's Dream is in very good form and can be excused his recent run on turf as we were experimenting both with soft ground and hurdling which didn't work out. He stays further than 1m6f and so if that translates to the all-weather around one of his favourite circuits, he should go well.

Ragosina is a nice filly who has the highest rating on the flat on which she is only one of two winners. She has taken to hurdles well schooling very confidently. We've had her for just two weeks since the sale and worked her just once, but are getting a run into her quickly, preparing for the Listed fillies' hurdle at Newbury. Hoping for a good run to pick up some nice prizemoney and step forward next time.

Liberated Lad was going okay at Chelmsford on Sunday when his race was voided. His chance depends on what pace they go and how he can be involved. He has a squeak if they go hard up front.

Cardano disappointed at Sedgefield but it was a very rough race and Cardano never got into a rhythm. He has performed with credit before at Chepstow and we've reapplied the cheek-pieces. I hope and expect to see a better effort.

Tellitasitis is a nice filly by Telescope. She's done plenty of work, and has an engine and some ability. We expect her to go well but it is her debut so we will learn plenty about her as she will about the game.

Ray Vonn disappointed last time but I don't think he likes Kempton. His two previous runs were good enough and he has often put up a good account for himself in better company. Interesting.

Martin Plage is a lovely horse who definitely has an engine and he's as fit as a flea. I targeted this bumper for him a while ago, but he did have a small setback early last week. Hopefully, he will be ready for this.

I've pushed Global Skies a bit harder for this race at home after a possibly slightly below-par effort at Nottingham. He will run his race and should do well but a 6f Listed is a bit tougher for him. He definitely will have his back against the wall a shade.

Redhot Whisper is in great form and improving all the time. He deserves his chance in this Group 1 and should enjoy the testing ground. I'm expecting a bold show, but where that puts him at the finish I can't be certain.

Summer Night City ran a shocking first race, jumping as though she had never seen an obstacle whereas she had been intensively schooled beforehand. We've redoubled her work and jumping in the interim and if she doesn't go close in this company we will be in trouble!

Brechin Castle was an odds-on shot on his opening run for master Irish point-to-point trainer Colin Bowe back in February and won nicely. We picked him up at Cheltenham sales later that month and we think he's a nice horse with plenty of potential. Hopeful of a big run on bumper debut today.

Liberated Lad had a hard race physically for whatever reason at Kempton last time. He seems in good order again now, but he takes a lot of work and also, I'm not sure if he's quick enough for 1m2f around Chelmsford.

Ray Vonn got a little too far back at Leicester last time but gave his usual solid effort especially as he was 4lb badly in. He's stepping up to 7f on all-weather and granted he relaxes and travels as he has been, he should be very competitive. Of course, it will be down to the jockey and horse - it's out of my hands now!

I Still Have Faith has been schooling for most of this year and jumped well last week. He has been working in his usual impressive manner and should take a lot of beating if he stays the trip. We believe he will.

My Chiquita has come out of Sedgefield in good order. This could be her last chance to run before the ground goes. She is nicely weighted and can only have benefited from that debut over hurdles. She should give another solid account.

Non-runner

We were delighted with African Spirit's win on debut at Newcastle and he has come out of that race very well. He now takes a big step forward into a valuable conditions race for Grades C and D and worked well last week. He definitely has ability but he's still rather rangy and weak and that could put him at a disadvantage against some of these more seasoned performers.

Diamond Dealer has lots of ability and shows plenty at home as he did on debut on his bumper debut at Ludlow before running out. Going the other way around at Haydock on ground too quick for him to let himself down, he still ran a decent race. He's bigger and stronger this season and has been schooling well. Seems pretty fit and should give a good showing at a massive price.

West Warhorse was poorly placed by the trainer first time up at Market Rasen, then improved despite being green at Wetherby, running on from an unpromising position. He seems in good form at home and as the first proper jumping prospect of the autumn to run, it will be interesting to see how fit he is. He should be ready enough though and I think he goes there with a decent chance.

Global Skies has come out of his Haydock win in great form. Young Tommie's claim negates the penalty so he should run his race. Hopefully, he can be ridden a bit more involved, now he is settling better and he shouldn't be far away if running up to expectations.

Midnight Margarita needed her debut run in the summer and had a small setback afterwards. She has strengthened up in the meantime and hopefully will learn plenty, as we will about her as she tackles the longer trip.

Lucky's Dream hated the soft ground at Haydock. He has schooled well at home and should enjoy the faster ground here. I think the longer trip is also a positive and while he can be a tricky old customer, he's capable of winning this off his low hurdles mark.

Ray Vonn has come out of his Nottingham win in good order. The stiff 6f here shouldn't be an issue and hopefully, that race hasn't taken too much out of him. His claiming rider takes care of the penalty and if he runs his race he shouldn't be far away.

Summer Night City has been kept unraced and trained especially for these relatively new junior NH hurdles. The hood is only on as a precaution rather than any suggestion of awkwardness on his part although the family isn't straightforward. He goes well and should be capable of winning one of these.

We've always held Diamond Dealer in high regard. Now a year older and a year stronger, we think he would prefer slower ground. He may just need this run as he takes plenty of work to get fit, but he is gifted.

I Still Have Faith is bouncing after Newmarket. He has gone up 11lb in total for two wins, in the Legends race at Doncaster and an amateurs' handicap last time. Now back in against professional jockeys and with Tom Marquand booked, he should relish conditions and enjoy the step up in trip. Anticipating the hat-trick.

Ray Vonn was back to his best at Newmarket last time on what I thought was slower ground. He has come out of that in good order and remains in fine shape going into Nottingham. Now top-weight in a lesser race rather than bottom weight in a better contest, if handling this ground he should give his usual running.

Cardano picked up a small issue the other morning after schooling and it's been touch and go to get him back on track for Sedgefield. He's fine now and he has taken back to hurdling well. He won the jump jockeys' Derby at Epsom on the flat last time, so should give his running and be tough to beat all being well.

Mi Chiquita likes quicker ground so any rain would be a negative. She has taken to hurdles well and the 7lb off her back for the talented Alice Stevens is a positive. She goes there with a decent chance and I'm hopeful she will run well on debut.

Non-runner

I'm not sure Lucky's Dream will enjoy the ground but he seems to be in the form of his life. I think stepping up in trip is definitely the right way to go with him - it's just the worry about the testing going.

Global Skies is a nice horse, albeit a bit gassy over 7f at Yarmouth, so I'm hoping dropping back to 6f and the faster pace will help him relax a bit better and produce a nice finishing effort. He sets a decent standard if running his race so if there's no world-beater in the line-up he should go close.

African Spirit is a lovely, big, scopey 2yo bred to be a smart 6-7 furlong horse. He has been castrated and that has been the making of him. He goes nicely and while he will improve for this first day at school, he shouldn't disgrace himself.

Gozo is in good form and has done plenty of schooling. He should have improved for his run at Wolverhampton which was needed after a setback following his previous outing at Sandown. This should be quite straightforward although he does have a way of compicating matters.

I Still Have Faith only had a piece of work in winning the Legends race at Doncaster last week and he seems to have come out it very well. The easing ground will suit him now switching to an amateurs' race and he shouldn't be far away again. This will probably be his last run on the flat before going hurdling so we have nothing to lose.

Ray Vonn seems back to his old self having run flat at Southwell after doing too much at Newcastle the time before. It was my mistake, running him back so soon after. If he reproduces his July Course effort he shouldn't be far away as he goes on ground with a bit of ease in it.

My Chiquita ran a big race giving a fair chunk of weight to 3yo's at Bath, beaten only by the front-runner who was receiving 8lb. She seems in great form and a reproduction of that effort and some assistance in the saddle in this Fegentri amateurs' race should get her head in front in a race where there are no 3yo's to worry about!

Global Skies came out of his Newmarket debut well. We've given him time to recoup after his run and he seems in good order. Given the usual improvement for his debut, he should be on the scene in the final furlong.

The Evemntmaster ran a much better race the last day and he has come out of it in good order. He seems in excellent fettle at home and as I think he's in the weaker division of this bumper, he can produce another good effort and be bang there once again.

Givitawhirl is a nice, well-bred Golden Horn colt. He isn't fully furnished yet but his work has been strong. He is pretty straight in condition but he will improve mentally.  I wouldn't be surprised if he does go very close, but if he doesn't show on the track what he does at home, he'll be going for a holiday.

I Still Have Faith gets in the Leger Legends race receiving the 3yo allowance and he should enjoy the ground and the way the race is likely to pan out. We think he has always wanted a stiff mile but we have been stretching him and teaching him to go long to prepare for his future hurdling career. He is in good form and if he turns up as expected, he should take all the beating.

Redhot Whisper is a really nice 2yo. We have always thought he wanted soft ground but had to run him at Leicester(good to firm)  to bring him along. He came out of Leicester in good form and didn't have a hard race that day due to greenness. He has a Group 1 entry in the Futurity and all being well he turns up and runs his race. He should run well and make use next month with that entry over the same course and distance.

Cardano has had a palate firing since a lesser finishing effort than expected after being well positioned at Yarmouth. He seems in great form back at his best trip and in a winnable race.

Liberated Lad steps back up in trip again on all-weather on which he has a decent record. He has stayed this far in the past and was running on nicely from too far back at Yarmouth. He seems to be in great form and I expect him to go close today all being well.

Gozo was involved in a tough race at Sandown and took some time to get over it. He's back on the straight and narrow now though and hopefully, he will stay this far. He's fresh and well and will be aimed more over hurdles after today.

Ray Vonn did too much early over 7f last time and was unsuited by the steady early pace. He is stepping back to 6f with the hood back on which we have experimented with at home. This set up should suit him much better and he has come out of Newcastle in great order.

My Chiquita stayed on nicely at Leicester back on decent ground after a break. Stepping up to 1m6f on quick going against mostly older horses should be right up her street. She should be bang there and she has a hood on for good measure to ensure she settles to help her get the extended trip at the first time of asking.

Ray Vonn has come out of his race at Newmarket well. It was a case there of a bob of the head that made the difference between winning and his eventual position of 3rd. His all-weather record is excellent, he is very consistent and seems in good order. We have freshened him up for this and hopefully, he should run a decent race.

Lucky's Dream is better off at these weights with Wynter Wildes than on their previous meeting and has proven to be more manageable than his younger self. He will be ridden more prominently today and shouldn't be too far away depending on the pace of the race. We will be stepping him up in trip after today.

The ground may not be ideal for Ray Vonn but he seems in good form after his very narrow defeat at Newmarket last time. If he does handle conditions he should be dangerous.

Liberated Lad is in good form after his Nottingham success and the rain has come to ease the going for him. It's a winnable race and if he plays ball a big run should be on the cards.

Champagne City is a wise old monkey, but he is in good form and this kind of race around this track should suit. It is really all up to him though and I'm not sure he'll like the softer ground either.

My Chiquita is back to her old self at home following a strange run at Windsor backed up by a flat display at Yarmouth on unsuitable ground. She has to concede a biit of weight  to some younger rivals but if she did run back to her best, she will set a good standard.

The Eventmaster has taken his efforts at Southwell well and seems to have come out of that debut more of a man. If he runs the race the right way round he shouldn't be far away. The hood seems to be having a positive effect at home and we're hoping he can show his true potential today.

I Still Have Faith has come out of Chepstow in good form. The race didn't suit him there but he still ran well in third. He's pretty versatile with ground conditions and should be bang there once again.

Ray Vonn is fresh and well and back in good form after tweaking his back with his mishap in the stalls last time. It's his first run for a while and the first since having his wind done. and again a first run on turf for some time. We will learn plenty about him but he clearly has ability.

Liberated Lad is in great form at home and while he won a stable staff race at Newbury, otherwise he has been struggling to recapture his best form. This is not the strongest of contests and if he could get back to near his best he should be there or thereabouts.

Redhot Whisper is a very nice horse who might want a little further in which case Leicester's stiff finish should help. We will learn plenty about him today but he's a nicely-bred colt who in time could be anything.

Global Skies has done some nice work and while I'm not sure where he is in relation to his opposition, he goes well enough to warrant a first run at Newmarket. We are still learning about him as he is about his job but are expecting a nice debut all being well.

I Still Have Faith is an improving gelding going the right way, winning his last two in good style. The going is in his favour and he will love the long home straight. He's getting plenty of weight from the top ones and hopefully, he still has room off his revised mark. All being well should go close.

Champagne City is in great form but can be difficult to predict. He has a little bit of weight to give away but seems in good health and hopefully should be bang there on a course he likes. He's an old monkey though.

Liberated Lad lost his way a little bit but hopefully, the step back up to 1m4f will spark some improvement. The ground is a concern though.

Phantom Gold is a nice horse who seems in good form at home. He won his point-to-point bumper well at Larkhill and we are hoping to see a bold show from him on Rules debut.

Lucky's Dream is in good form. Epsom didn't suit him the last day and he's a much better horse on all-weather than turf. He seems still to retain his ability and we're anticipating a good show depending on the pace of the race.

Love you Darling has plenty of ability but for whatever reason I don't think she tried too hard at Newmarket but she kept going towards the line. Blinkers seem to have sharpened her up a bit at home and we are hoping for a big run.

Cardano is in great form and I'm hopeful of a big run and a step forward from Windsor. The ground will be kinder for him tonight than at Windsor.

Gozo ran very well when 5th in a Heritage handicap at Newmarket and he has come out of it in great form. He's taken a step forward from that and I think we still haven't got to the bottom of him.

I Still Have Faith came out of his win at Nottingham in good order. The July Course track should suit him and hopefully, he can go in again.

Liberated Lad is stepping back a long way in trip after tackling two miles last time. We are hoping he will settle and show an improved performance.

The Eventmaster was a cheap buy at the sales last autumn. He still has plenty to learn abour racing. We are looking forward to getting him on the racecourse.

Love You Darling has come out of Leicester in good form after her promising second place on debut. She is in the deep end here but deserves her place in the field and she could surprise a few people.

I Still Have Faith is in good form and seems none the worse for his unlucky run at Leicester. There are fewer runners in today's race and hopefully, a clearer passage could bring a straightforward win judged on that last run.

It's a quick turn-around for My Chiquita but in a much easier race than Windsor. We're taking a chance and the ground is an unknown although her pedigree suggests it will suit her. We'll find out this afternoon.

Lucky's Dream was unfortunate at Newbury where he was beaten by weight. He seems to have come out of that race in great form and thrives on hard work. He has a very good chance, lower down this handicap although sometimes he isn't the easiest of rides, so possibly not the ideal mount for an amateur.

My Chiquita is in good form after her two wins. She gets in off a light weight and I think she will go close today and be a busy girl afterwards.

Cardano has come out of of his comeback run at York in good form and should show more today. He could go close if he recaptures a bit of his old ability, which on his home form is still there.

Secret Beach is a nice Footstepsinthesand colt who has come out of a promising 4th at Nottingham in good order. The step up in trip should suit and hopefully, he will run a big race

I Still Have Faith ran well when runner-up at Haydock where he was possibly a little unlucky not to win. Leicester will suit him and he's in cracking form. Hopeful.

Lovely Darling lives up to her name as she is a lovely filly. She will improve for the experience and while I think 7f is her distance, her weight allowance and the uphill finish will give her a better chance. We will learn a lot about her here.

This is the first day at school for Midnight Margarita. She goes well enough but will probably want further and time, but she is a nice filly.

Gozo is a nice animal and has come out of his Haydock race in good form. That first run for us resulted in a last-stride defeat but he will strip fitter for that. He takes a slight step up in trip, but if rather than go off in front again he can take a lead and settle, he should be dangerous.

Old warrior Lucky's Dream has come out of Salisbury in bouncing form. The ground is again possibly on the quick side but he's ready to go and will come on again for today's run.

Champagne City is an old monkey really but he won here over course and distance in April and after a less inspiring effort at Goodwood I've kept him back for this. Ideally, he could have less weight but he's in good form and we'll give it another go.

Dark Mystery is in good form. He probably did too much early in his race at Sandown and didn't see out the trip. We've stepped him back in distance and brought him out again quickly. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go close given the right conditions.

My Fernando is a nice big model of a horse. He needs to learn to breathe in his races to play a part. Soft ground may be a help but I'm unsure about that.

We're taking the opportunity to try to get another win next to My Chiquita's name. Sean is taking 7lb off, more than compensating for the 4lb rise for the Nottingham win last time. She's come out of the race very well and she should be hard to beat.

Hopefully, we have fine-tuned Dark Mystery a bit after discovering an issue from him after Musselburgh. Better ground and a lower grade of race should help him run very well.

Cardano is an absolute legend of a horse coming back from a big layoff. He seems in great form and has done plenty of work. Could go close.

Hopefully, the hood will help I Still Have Faith settle into a nice rhythm. He's in good form and a good clear run would probably see him go close, as long as the pace bias doesn't affect him.

Secret Beach is a nice 2yo by Footstepsinthesand that does everything right at home. If he puts his best foot forward he's a decent animal, but it's his first day at school so there will be plenty to learn, for him and us!

Gozo is a talented horse who starts handicapping after three promising runs late last summer. Cheek-pieces will help focus him and we'll find out where he sits with his mark after this. He is in good form at home, but there's just the feeling the ground might be a bit on the quick side for him.

Lucky's Dream is a lovely old fella having his first run back for a long time. He might need it but he's had a wind-op since he last ran and he's still talented. Might run nicely.

Liberated Lad is a nice horse and he's in good form. He will have come on for his first run from our stable at Doncaster and came out of the race in good order. Going back up in trip should bring improvement.

This is the first run in a handicap for My Chiquita. I think she will be competitive off her initial mark of 60 and she's in good form.

Reset Button came out of Kempton in good form. He's stepping back up in trip tonight and we're hopeful. Fingers crossed.

We bought Liberated Lad in the spring and obviously, I know him well from my time when I was assistant to Ian Williams. He's a nice horse and in good form. We will learn a lot from him today.

It's a big drop in grade for Sarsons Risk. He seems in great form and it would be nice to put another "1" beside his name before his summer holiday. His work's great and his jumping has been savage!

Reset Button has been in good form at home since disappointing at Chelmsford when favourite early last month. Hoping for him to get back on track, possibly adding a third win to his career tally.

I Still Have Faith struggled in the testing going at Goodwood. Hopefully, drier ground here today will bring a bit of improvement.

Nothing went right for Diamond Dealer on his bumper debut at Ludlow but he seems to have come out of that experience in good order. We've tweaked a few things hoping to start again and get it right this time. He's a very nice horse with a big engine and we hope to see the real Diamond Dealer here today.

My Chiquita is a nice filly who is rated 65 after two runs last year and one as a 4yo. She has improved from last month's run and the weights are slightly less to her disadvantage as the wfa scale difference gradually narrows. It still means her head is against the wall a bit.

My Fernando is a lovely homebred gelding who has improved physically from some time off since his promising first run last summer. We expect him to run a nice race and be bang there.

Sarsons Risk is in good order and we hope he can put himself back on track today with a nice run.

I Still Have Faith was off for almost a year before making his stable debut two weeks ago. He just needed the run and while I am still figuring him out, he definitely had ability and could run well first time in a handicap.

Champagne City is a tricky old fella but last time he enjoyed himself making all in a marathon around Pontefract. He remains in excellent order and should give another good show but this is a tougher race than last time.

Dark Mystery is a very honest horse. He is in good form after a wind-op and with the ground right for him I'm looking forward to a big run from him as he goes well fresh.

Diamond Dealer is a lovely smart 4yo who won his English point. I think a lot of him but he is still a big frame. Expecting him to run a big race.

Espoir De Teillee has plenty of talent. He is in good form and the slight step back in trip should suit. We expect him to run a big race.

Longhouse Legacy was a comfortable winner of her 2nd Irish point early in February and we bought her soon after. She shows plenty of promise and while she is short on experience and meets a couple with nice bumper form, I'm hopeful she can make a winning start.

I Still Have Faith had a couple of runs early last year but I think he will be a better 3yo. I didn't expect Richard Fahey's 82-rated horse to run and he will be tough to beat. Probably a place will have to be satisfactory.

Ray Vonn ran a big first race for the stable and seems in unreal form at home. Hopefully, the first-time hood and tongue-tie can help him finish off his race and get him over the line in front in this Grade D maiden.

My Chiquita has to give away a lot of weight to her younger rivals in this restricted maiden race, but she does have more experience. She is in good form and how she fares obviously, depends on the ability of newcomers from top stables.

Blue Hop won nicely at Ay and that form has been working out, but he is at the deep end at this late stage of the season. He will find this tough, but he is a nice horse.

Aslukgoes is in great form. The ground is an unknown but this will be his last run in a bumper and this has always been the target. We are hopeful he can maintain the unbeaten record and complete the four-timer.

It was great to get off the mark on the flat on Tuesday and now hopefully Sarsons Risk can give us a first important jumps winner. He has learned from his mistake when falling in the lead in the Adonis and is primed and ready for a big run.

Champagne City is in good form. The trip should be fine, but he can be a bit of an old monkey. In reality, it depends upon which side of the bed he has got out of.

Big Bresil has come out of his run at Ayr in good form. Heavy ground shouldn't be an issue for him and I think all being well he should be bang there at the finish.

Reset Button is usually consistent but never seemed to put races to bed, as was the case here last time. So we've fixed his palate and hopefully that will make a difference. He's in an amateur riders' race at the weekend and Neil Callan called and asked if I would let his son Jack ride. I asked what he was doing on Thursday and when Neil said he was free, I said ride him at Chelmsford and if he wins your son can have the mount on Saturday. Let's hope we've organised a very rare family affair!

Ray Vonn has his first race for us after joining from Gay Kelleway. He is lightning out of the gates, so if he can get a nice lead round just behind the pace, I expect him to run a competitive race. I'm still learning from him but on his last three runs, he should be right there at the finish. 

Sarsons Risk is gearing up for Aintree and this seems an ideal opportunity instead of a racecourse gallop. He's in great form and I'm expecting a big run off 82.

We've been a bit quiet for the past couple of weeks after a flurry of runners, but April will be a busy month. Espoir De Teillee remains in rude health. Track, ground and trip are all ideal, so hopefully he can follow up Leicester with another win.

Raya Time was a smart horse back in his day and seems to be running himself back into his old form over hurdles. It's a tough ask taking on the French in a Graded race and I just hope we are good enough to make an impression.

Miss Chantelle is a nice home-bred mare and while on form she looks a long way out of her depth, she has been pleasing us at home. I don't think she will be far away.

Champagne City is a versatile old warrior with ability over hurdles and on the flat, but he is a monkey. If he puts his best foot forward he could be very good, but those days are becoming less and less frequent.

Espoir De Teillee is a very capable horse who can complicate matters for himself. Running right-handed will suit his jumping and hopefully it should be straightforward for him to get a "1" beside his name.

Big Bresil will be having his first run back after a major absence and I am still learning about him. I'm not sure what to expect from him today but hopefully he will run well and improve for the next one.

Blue Hop is an exciting novice who will improve for a fence. We are going to Ayr looking for soft ground and expecting him to run a big race. He will learn from it and improve from it as well.

Sarsons Risk is going to Kempton in great order. His work has been good since his impressive debut hurdles win at Doncaster. If as we think he has come on with natural progression from Doncaster, he could be very dangerous. I'm looking forward to a big show.

Espoir De Teillee is a capable performer on his day. He had a messy start at Hereford and you can excuse that run as a result. The re-application of the tongue-tie and addition of cheek-pieces will hopefully help to bring the horse we see at home to the track.
