He won a small field race at Southwell last time out and he only encounters three other runners today which isn’t ideal when you’re trying to get a horse to chill but on the plus side it’s a nice introduction to fences not having sixteen others to worry about. Alan has done plenty of schooling for this first run over fences and he has run in a point-to-point, he’s very quick over his obstacles and seems to enjoy fences. We've the Nicholls horse to beat - but both were rated on similar marks over hurdles so we've certainly got a chance if his jumping holds."
