Leighton was never happy with him that day, he said he felt laboured from the start and it was only his ability that got him into a decent position turning into the home straight before folding tamely away. Nothing came to light subsequently so I have to put it down to an off day and move on. Book is a horse that works nicely at home and has always jumped well, he’s a big strong type who is an embryonic chaser. Hopefully he can put that poor run behind him today and looks an each-way option."
