Golden Maverick was a prolific winner on the flat last year for previous connections, rated 83. and we always thought he would make a decent hurdler. After a couple of placed efforts, he comfortably won a weak race last time and looks progressive. He starts handicapping on a fair mark and should have every chance of running a big race.
