Golden Maverick was rated 83 on the flat after winning five times at up to 1m2f. He has taken well to jumping but was very green on debut, albeit 2nd to a promising individual. Next time, he got a fair bit back in the pack and although he stayed on strongly, he couldn't get to the first two. This looks a weaker race and gives him every chance of getting his head in front.
