Farceur Du Large won over hurdles but it was only when he was sent over fences that he really began to excel. He won a novice chase at Fairyhouse over 2m5f, then a competitive Class 2 handicap off a mark of 130 after which he was put up to 136. He has struggled since but has been highly tried, in the Irish Grand National, the Midlands Grand National and the Galway Plate. Now down to 130, he meets the criteria for the Grand Military Gold Cup. He makes his debut for us here in a race that I hold a great affection for from my riding days and hopefully, he can put up a bold show.
