An excellent 2nd in a very hot bumper at the Punchestown Festival early last year, Passing Well developed into a smart novice hurdler for us last season with two wins and 4th in a very hot Challow Hurdle. He starts novice chasing on a lovely mark and made a great start when runner-up in a good race at Ascot. He will have improved for that effort and also for the longer trip today. Softer ground would have been preferable but still, he has a fine chance to get his head in front.
