Hardy Du Seuil was 2nd in two 3yo bumpers in France before bolting up over hurdles at Fontainebleau. We sent him novice chasing last season to utilise his wfa advantage and he won twice and was 2nd in a Grade 2. As his jumping of fences wasn't always assured, though, we thought he would appreciate going back over hurdles where he runs off a lower mark. The ground was too quick for him in the Welsh Champion Hurdle but he ran well to be 3rd last time over 2m4f at Wetherby. He should be suited to dropping back to 2m here on deep ground and he's not without a chance in a competitive race.
