When Madaa, a son of Le Havre, was sent to the sales unraced from the John Gosden yard as part of the Shadwell dispersal, the last thing Jamie expected was to pick him up for £1,000. Unsold at only double that soon after, he came home and carrying Lucie's colours bolted in on debut in a maiden bumper at Warwick. Still in the family, he has his second start here and we're hoping he can win this too!
