Bucko's Boy is out of a mare we used to train who won a couple of bumpers and over hurdles, this son of Midnight Legend won a bumper at Hexham. After a couple of frustrating falls over hurdles, he won a maiden hurdle last season at Fakenham. However, things didn't fall his way through the winter. After a break, he showed improved form to be 2nd at Hexham in May when dropped back in trip and with the application of cheek pieces he wasn't beaten far into 3rd at Fontwell. He probably ran a career best last time out when out of the handicap and trapped for room at a crucial point. This trip looks ideal, and he deserves to get his head in front having been mightily consistent of late.
