Give It To Me Oj ran a very promising race first time in a handicap when a close 4th off an initial mark of 80 at Goodwood. Dropped 1lb for that, we have to be hopeful that the improvement he showed that day can be maintained. Big chance.

Veer showed he got the trip when 2nd last time at Southwell. He looks the main danger to the in-form favourite.

Rock Diva makes her debut. She's okay and as long as she can get in a nice position she would have a decent each-way chance.

Edvard Greig has been sent to me by mostly the same owners for whom he ran five times without success in Ireland. He starts on a mark in the high 60s and he'll probably find the in-form favourite tough to beat.

Saytarr is slowly getting his act together and has improved with every run. He's a big dopey horse but the penny is definitely dropping and I think he will be suited by Southwell.

Monomyth won well at Doncaster. He's up 5lb for that but I feel he had a little to spare that day and is improving. Hopeful.

Idyllic has been unlucky not to get her head in front this year. She likes the all-weather and is well-drawn. She effectively had a racecourse gallop at Lingfield last time out when they went no pace and she was poorly positioned.

Thursday has slightly lost her way since winning a few starts ago. Back to faster ground on a track she has run well at might suit her and she seems in great shape still. She could easily get back on an upward curve if things go smoothly for her here.

Cerulean Summer has been getting nearer in recent races on AW. She has run on turf only once and cannot be judged on that as she was badly interfered with at the start of a race at Nottingham and Rhys allowed her to coast home in her own time. There should be much more to…

She's Perfect is a lovely filly that we sourced relatively cheaply from the breeze-up sales. Her work has been good and she looks an exciting prospect. Like all of mine, she will improve for this debut.

Tronido has been progressive since starting in handicaps and is going the right way. This is a new arena for her having won both her races around a turn and on polytrack. There's no reason why this won't suit her and she could easily take another step forward.

Oj Lifestyle continues to edge lower in the handicap. This looks the sort of opportunity when he can finally add a 2nd win to his 125/1 success 2nd time out just four days short of two years ago.

Louie The Legend made a promising start when 4th at Newcastle. I'm not sure of the level of the opposition and it might well be on the short side for him. He has a good draw though and I'm hopeful he'll be placed at least.

Marayel had very modest form on his few runs from here, but there has been a degree of improvement on more recent appearances. Hardly a good thing, but he must have a chance in an ordinary contest.

Monmyth has hampered himself by being too headstrong in his races. He does have ability though and if he settles he should go very close.

This is a very poor race, but Lovestruck Romeo is a very moderate horse. He's in the right race and must have his chance.

Glam Squad won well last time out at Yarmouth and is still ahead of his mark. Wolves is a very different track but I have always felt he would stay a mile and this is the best place to try it. His draw is not a disaster and Neil Callan will give him a decent…
