Red Cloud has been consistent, albeit at a lowly level. He came back well last time on this course after a break and ought to go close once more.

Stintino Sunset has been consistent all year and is on a winning mark again. Going up in distance should be okay on this fast ground so hopefully, she has an each-way chance once more.

Mart has had a great year but his two runs back after an early summer break, both at Newmarket were compromised by slow starts - the last time when he reared as the stalls opened. He likes Lingfield, so Brighton should be fine. Place chances on his best form.

Both career wins for Hul Ah Bah Loo have been here and he always runs well at Lingfield but has been below his best in recent starts. He seems in good shape and can never be left out at this level. The outside draw is not a particular handicap as he will be staying on…

Rabainal is a course and distance winner but he has not been at the same level since the winter. He is well handicapped now, though, and needs them to go hard which they might in a race like this. He is training well and should race more evenly with the hood back on.

Flight is a nice filly and she has very good form. I'll be disappointed if she doesn't win.

Tactical Control ran better the last day. he seems in good form at home and hopefully, should be bang there at the finish.

Glam Squad was unsuited by the way the race panned out at Newcastle last time and was unable to get any cover whatsoever. Before that, he had looked very progressive. This track will suit him and going left-handed is a big plus. He will run much better tonight.

Rockymountainway has been incredibly tough and consistent. She ran well last time out at Yarmouth and I think there is still more to come. The stiff 7f is ideal.

Sir Palamedes ran a cracker at York before finding 5f and quick ground too sharp in the Super Sprint. Stepping back up to 6f and soft ground will suit far better. He should go well.

Hello Miss Lady has struggled in her first two runs. She has ability but after four months off she might not be at her sharpest.

French juvenile hurdle winner Kitesurfer took a while to acclimatise to UK racing but the combination of better ground and the step up to 3m worked well for him and he won nicely back in the spring. He was still holding every chance when a faller last time, so hopefully, he can resume the progress…

Platinum Prince has won his share of races over the years and we were encouraged by his close 2nd at Chelmsford in April. He disappointed the next time, though, so he's had a long break and hopefully will be ready to run his race in this amateurs' contest.

Battleofbaltimore likes to be up there from the outset and as long as he breaks alertly, he can make good use of the inside draw. Not the most consistent, but I'm delighted he gave his enthiastic owners a win at Yarmouth and he should be in with the action at the business end.

A winner off 73 last year, Fierce is down to 66 and in lower grade than before. We're looking for a revival, but also run Voodoo Ray who has been going in the other direction. Bit of a puzzle.
