Jessie Lightfoot did okay when with us for the 2022-23 season. She switched to Evan Williams where all three runs this season were decent enough. Now back here, we have to be hopeful that on ground she likes, this could be her day.

Champagne Piaff came back after two and a half years off the track with a highly promising 3rd at Bath recently. Ryan takes the mount and we'll be hoping that between rider and horse, we can get right in the action in this long-established race.

Mesaafi ran well at Kempton recently in a decent race. He was a touch keen that day and got tired and I just wonder whether he is better over 6f. He's certainly bred for it, and we will find out today!

Try The Money ran well in 2nd at Taunton two runs back. He didn't jump with the same fluency last time at Hereford but a repetition of the earlier form would put him right in the argument.

Fondest Dream is a sharp daughter of Showcasuing. She will enjoy the conditions and from a nice draw she should be in amongst them. Could run into the frame.

Git Maker had an excellent first season over fences in 2022-23 winning two of four and looked tailor-made for some major prizes this term. After winning on comeback at Lingfield, he jumped left-handed at Ascot, also finding fast going unsuitable. Then he ran a belter in 2nd at the Cheltenham Festival 18 lengths clear of…

In his UK runs, Foveros has been running in claimers when he often meets horses with higher ratings than the top-weight in this handicap. His mark has reduced considerably and we can claim in this hands and heels race. Could go well.

Lumi Plugin has run with promise in his three bumpers. A place could be possible but he would be doing well to match his stable-companion first time over jumps.

Teraabb should have got into the winner's enclosure after several decent efforts last year. You can put a line through his final start as I should never have run him at Lingfield. This will suit him far better and he will love the ground.

Smokey Maloe always runs his race and is a CD winner. He is in great form but his winning usually happens in a lower grade than today's.  Hopefully, he has each-way chances.

Stormingin continues to defy his years and returns to the same CD where he gave his young rider a first win. This will be only her 3rd ride so if she wins that would represent a healthy enough strike rate. He's only 3lb higher and has the plum draw so why not?

Percy's Lad makes his seasonal return. He'll come forward for the run which will set him up perfectly for the May meeting at Chester, a track he loves.

Ciara Pearl won nicely over 10f at Lingfield last Monday and comes here in a similar race under a penalty. The more galloping track will suit her better than Lingfield but that's countered by the drop back to a mile.

Gogo Yubari has really got her act together with three wins this year. She needed every yard at Lingfield last time but again at 5f, and only 2lb higher, we're hoping to strike while the iron's hot.

Sweet Carolina is a nice filly with tons of speed. I trained the dam and she was very quick too. Mine always improve for their debut but even so, I would like to see her run a good race.

Morawig is a horse I have always loved. He's exceptionally good-looking but is not straightforward and therefore has been a slow burner. Gelded after his last run, I expect him to improve as the year goes on. This is a lovely starting point.

If Spirit D'Aunou is at his best he should give a good account in a wide-open race. We think he can outrun his odds.

Boys Of Wexford isn't the easiest to win with, but he's been getting nearer in recent runs and this could be his day. The better ground will help him.
