Two runners also in this and former Irish pointer Kap Chidley has shown in his schooling that he is mad for fences. He ought to handle the ground nicely and holds a great each-way chance in what looks a competitive field.

Shutthegate has his first outing for us having joined from John Spearing. Jamie Moore usually rode him before and travels over for the mount. Chances on his best form especially if the first-time blinkers work.

Skinflint did it very nicely last time at Chepstow, there all the way and running home strongly for an overdue first win under Rules. He's 10lb higher but he remains in form and has a bright chance of a follow-up success.

18th Mar 2023 – RESULT 1st Evens – Kansas Du Berlais – Gary Moore Fontwell Park

Kansas Du Berlais did better on 2nd run after joining from France when a close runner-up at Lingfield. We expected him to build on that and win next time around here, but backed to odds-on, he was a disappointing 4th. This is a retrieval mission and we are hopeful he can made amends.

We are very much finding our way with Power Of Darkness as he is a recent addition to our yard. It looks like this step up to a mile should suit well and I think the track also plays to his strengths. Hoping to see a better run this evening.

After going through a disappointing spell, Tom Tulliver has suddenly struck form and after a nice win around here he was only narrowly beaten last time. He meets the winner on 5lb better for half a length and that should enable him to turn the tables.

Rebel Redemption had a single okay run at the start of the year but before and since he's looked to be going through the motions. Needs to find something from somewhere.

11th Mar 2023 – RESULT 1st 17/2 – Medrara – Charlie Fellowes Chelmsford

Medrara has his issues but is consistent and can pick up a little race somewhere. Ten furlongs around Chelmsford should suit and this looks a poor race. Chances.

Spirit D'Aunou picked up a couple of pretty uncompetitive NH juvenile hurdles which have appeared this season. It is hard to know whether his mark is lenient or otherwise, but he's clearly promising and hopefully will be able to cope with opponents that have experience on the flat behind them.

11th Mar 2023 – RESULT 1st 9/1 – Zhiguli – Gary Moore Sandown

Zhiguli joins Iconic Muddle here and while on last season's form he would have a big chance, he hasn't matched it yet this time round. The consolation is a steady drop in his mark, so he's by no means a make-weight today.

11th Mar 2023 – RESULT 1st 11/4 – Hudson De Grugy – Gary Moore Sandown

Hudson De Grugy has not yet matched his smart hurdles form since going over fences, but the positive is that his mark is now 10lb lower than the hurdles rating. This looks a suitable race for him to start going forward in his new role.

Invincible De Mee stayed on well over 2m at Ffos Las and the step up in trip ought to help massively. A solid each-way chance today.

Pop Favorite won over this CD for his previous connections, but has gradiually slipped down the handicap since joining us. There was some promise in his latest 5th place not beaten far back here last week and I wouldn't be shocked if he bounced back tonight.

Tom Tulliver had been running poorly around here since returning just before Christmas after a break, but suddenly ran way above his 80/1 odds when 4th last time. Let's hope he can maintain the improvement to get into the frame tonight.

Miss Elsa didn't stay the 1m4f last time and will be happier dropping back to 1m2f today. We're taking 7lb off with a promising kid and hopefully Miss Elsa will put in a decent show.

Pable Del Pueblo has been enjoying a fair winter and might be able to turn the tables with last week's winner Lilkian now back to the minimum trip. He's becoming slightly more conventional, so he just needs things to go smoothly and it if they do, no surprise to see him involved.
