Moulins Clermont won a couple of races in good style last season after joining from France. He had a long summer break before returning recently at Kempton. Still relatively inexperienced, he should improve for that run and the 4lb shaved off his mark will be a help in a race where we run two.

We also run the 3yo Jupiter Du Gite here for his first time over jumps and in the UK. Third on his one run in France in the spring, he gets plenty of weight as the only juvenile in the line-up. Again we're excited to get him on the track.

Justcallmepete came back to form with a brilliant run down the outside at Lingfield, getting up on the line. If he can build on that on this more galloping track, he should be thereabouts.

We run two in this Restricted novice stakes. Glam Puss looked raw when second on debut and should improve for the extra furlong.

Haddex Des Obeaux won a handicap hurdle in October last year after arriving from France but then had almost a year off before unseating at the last on his debut over fences at Newton Abbot when looking held. He did much better last month when 2nd at Kempton and should be ready to go one…

Editeur Du Gite  ran a nice third on his recent comeback at Cheltenham. This level-weights Grade 2 may stretch him a little but he has plenty of class and deserves a shot at a race of this kind.  

Bells Of Peterboro won this race last year and comes here in good form. He would have preferred slower ground but has solid each-way claims anyway.

Boys Of Wexford won nicely last time at Uttoxeter. He remains in good form and still looks well weighted. He enjoyed forcing the pace there and I'm hopeful he can put in a repeat performance here.

Yorksea ran in decent company last winter, ending with a wide-margin win on this card. He probably needed his comeback run at Newbury, but whether he can pull back all the distance by which Teddy Blue beat him is probably doubtful.

Weaver's Answer has been very immature in his runs to date in novice events. This lower-grade contest should help him find his feet and now he is in handicaps off a low mark, he will be far more competitive although it could take a race or two for him to work it all out. 

Colonial Empire has been a model of consistency. He won impressively last time out at Leicester and with only a 4lb rise in his mark, he can come out on top in a competitive but ordinary enough handicap hurdle.

Tequilamockingbird is unbeaten over course and distance and loves to come off a strong pace which she should get today, She seems in good order and is very easy to keep fit so the race delay will not have done her any harm. This is slightly tougher than the original field but she should still…

Capricorn Prince has a great record around Lingfield and we had him in there the other day when the meeting was called off. He has yet to win around here, but has been placed and if he gets a good run round, he has to be a player for a place at least.
