Shahbaz has had a great year but should have won a race. Conditions should suit him perfectly and I think he will handle the track. He seems in great order at home.

No great shakes so far after two runs and unlikely to be winning this, but will get a handicap mark after today and then will be a lot more competitive.

Down the field at Redcar in the week - 102nd race here today and back at Southwell where he's a course winner. Up in grade here to give him just 8-8 in weight to carry, which makes him dangerous but a bit of an in-and-out performer these days.

Pete ran very green in his only outing to date, a bumper at Southwell when finishing fourth. He travelled behind the bridle that day and the penny didn’t really drop until he passed the line where Alfie couldn’t pull him up. Stintino Sunset ran well last run to finish a good fourth dropped a couple of pounds for that run so meets the favourite on 6lb better terms. Trip and ground will suit, we have added cheek pieces just to help her concentrate, she should have an e/w chance.

Was unlucky last week to bump into an improving three year old. He seems to have come out of the race well but has never backed up so quickly, this does seem a good opportunity for him and we are running out of options on the soft ground that he needs. Fred Gordon good value…

We were delighted with Faitque De Lisle's comeback third earlier this month at Stratford when he just tired in the closing stages. He will be straighter today and with the team in good form we have to be hopeful he can open his winning account.
