25th May 2022 Result 3rd 17/2 – Lucky Beggar – David C Griffiths Beverley

Lucky Beggar ran better again last time, more so considering the race didn't fall right for him. He's in real good shape and has a very good draw so all positive. I'm confident of a very good run.

Lockandload is a nicely-bred mare by Midnight Legend. She has had a couple of runs in points for experience but she still has plenty to learn about racing. If she finished in the middle today we would be thrilled.

London has been running consistently and the step up in trip from Lingfield on Saturday should suit as long as the race doesn't come too quickly. Should have an outstanding each-way chance.

After some near misses Nazwa got his head in front last time and that should mean he has gained in confidence. This race is a two-runner affair and the Dan Skelton horse will go off favourite but with Nazwa now a winner, he might not have it all his own way.

Bounced back to form last time with a close second here. Has come out of that race well - Up 4lbs for that but similar race and conditions here mean he's got a decent chance of getting involved again. Each-way.

Yet to win a race but has gone close a few times recently - including last time at Chelmsford (4th). Down a pound for that and Mollie takes off 5lbs, while she's ridden the horse for us before too. Each-way chance.

Admirably tough and consistent, she came out best of those near the front end in a very competitive race at Ascot in a higher grade last time. Big field here again but shouldn’t be too far away.

Took another step forward and comes here off the back of a good win. He’s probably more battle hardened than most of this field which should stand him in good stead. This is a very valuable prize and some of his lightly raced rivals have looked impressive in maiden/novice company.

Second runner in the race and has a squeak too. Mixes it up over hurdles and on the flat. Been in good form over hurdles this season with two wins but back on the flat today on a fair mark and has won here at Goodwood before too. 2lbs lower than that 2021 win here…

Only had 5 career runs and despite not winning yet has been showing up okay. 3lbs lower here will help and dropping back to 6f again too. Jon takes off 5lbs but not seen the track for just under a year so expected to improve for this today.

Second runner in the race for us - debut run for Steve Packham, who owns Goshen too. Nice well-bred 4 year-old that is doing well in his work. Niall helps to take off 3lbs too and small e/w chance, but the experience of our other runner just edges it.

19th May 2022 Result 1st 7/2 – Smokey Malone – Julia Feilden Lingfield

Smokey Malone ran well at the track last run and was unlucky when he was stopped in his run late on in the race. He dropped a pound so gets into this grade, trip will suit so hoping for a big run again.

Got back to form the last day at Lingfield with a good win for Bradley. Up 4lbs for that and the switch to the grass will be fine here. Bradley rides again to claim 7lbs and we know he stays a little bit more than this 1m3 1/2f. Should have a leading chance again.
